Re-release of this poem “North Star”

For All
The unexpected
Voices
That joined a choir
Like that of angels
Everyone
Thank you
To every kind soul
You have helped to revive me
To make me whole

Your kind words, actions, deeds, simple acknowledgments, live in my soul

Thank you by @nikolololedavis

“An Ode to the Unapologetic Self”- 100th Issue @unclearmag.

From all the hubub
Of the world
At the end of
The very long days
It’s always just
The mind, time,
And the satisfaction
Of how you are living
In those things.

——

It is gently with humility and gratitude, I accept
being part of the Writing Staff
and surrender to the flow of words that I used to think was me writing my own death sentence;
Is what helps me attain the right to life
Helps to inspire within myself and others
A right to thrive.

Thank you to all those who have supported my writing journey. You know who you are. by @nikolololedavis

This past week “Flip Turn” won Best Sports Film Award at the “French International Modern Film Festival”
One of my many past lives was as a competitive swimmer through my youth and in high school. Those are ribbons I don’t talk about. But I am proud that this indie won an award of its own. Some may say this was a “small part”, Stanislavsky says— “there are no small parts, only small actors” and this little fetus swimmer small Nikole gave me a lot to start with. Trust me. I was most definitely-starting haaaa.

Everyone of the cast and crew were so gracious when I was starting out

You know who you are.

Congrats to the @flipturn_movie Cast and Crew.

This was not just swimming through memories, we won one of our swim meets 🏊‍♀️🩱🌊

Here’s @wideopen_movie a sexy, sleek, date night thriller

Loved playing the character Camilla, she doesn’t care what anybody else thinks of her, marches to the beat of her own drum, and only accepts people in her life that she knows are strong teammates. Never to be double-crossed, never to be copied, never to be kept down, because she is a world all her own.

Thank you to the whole cast and crew.

Update: Wide Open was at @danceswithfilms 2024 part of the midnight shorts block. Always a treat. by @nikolololedavis

|The Dazzling Herd|
As seen in @unclearmag Issue No. 84.

“Life in the protection of a safe bubble v. the predatory culture of being a young femme in a eat-or-be-eaten-city. “

Was how this poem was pitched.
Exploitation happens, at all levels, regardless or gender— at the same token, camaraderie in each other is needed in keeping spaces safe. Protecting the vulnerable, the impressionable, and simply longing for simple days of sweet freedom amongst the “(zebra) herd” of your people whose love protects you, and celebrates you.

My second published poem.

Friends, Romans, Countrywomen.
When I made this shortfilm 2 years ago, with these lovely women, I was in such a different place in my life, it’s always so weird to watch this and know where that young woman was at and the woman I am now. I normally post videos on the grid because these are all random pieces of art that inspire me, well these women in this clip are art, even the one behind the camera.

If ya’ll can catch Chicks on the Alter Channel on YouTube we are at 113K views and even if some of those are myself and these wonderful women responding to the comment section heheh, it feels good to know we made something we are proud of and has resonated with a population that can rival the size of a small city.
Love these women and all the creatives I have the pleasure of creating art we are passionate about.

Ps. I am a much better dancer now…

Happy-“Chicks”-on -ALTER-day! |

So excited to be able to share this film that granted me some of my best friends for life. The message of women empowering other women, celebrating our ferocity while still being able to be silly chickens 🐓

I was plucked from the ether as one of 1200+ tapes nationally from a random casting call on Backstage, that I even thought was too good for me, you found me, believed in me and I’m happy you’re in my life and that we can share Polly and the crew with the whole world now:) @chicksmovie

@watch_alter ALTER- is “an ever-expanding platform for the most daring storytellers in the world of horror. They are a home, community, and launching pad for filmmakers. Slip into the dark, disturbing corners of cutting-edge horror”. taken in Alter by @nikolololedavis
