Nationals 2024:

Squat: 117.5 / 125 x (depth) / 125 (+5kg meet PR) Bench: 60 / 65 / 67.5x (+5kg meet PR) Deadlift: 150 / 162.5 / 167.5x (-2.5kg 😭)

6/9 Total: 352.5kg (+7.5kg meet PR / +20kg on my best total at 57kg) GLP: 83.11

Honestly, this meet wasn’t great, not even close. The prep was seamless, but I fell so short of the goals we had set and I can’t help but feel disappointed for not having showcased my full potential. Three days prior to the meet, I injured my groin. It only flared up during deadlifts, but it was to an extent that I couldn’t even break 125 kg off the floor. Meet day had me on a cocktail of painkillers, just waiting to see if I could somehow manage deadlifts. I was numb enough to not feel much but mentally, I wasn’t in the best place. By no means an excuse—just a reminder that you can control what you can, and the rest? You roll with it and stay grateful for what you can do.

Huge shoutout to Coach @casciolisc for his incredible coaching. I’ve added 30kg to my total since we started working together a year and a half ago, and that’s saying something, given my packed schedule! Also, thank you to @phamishedcoach for helping me cut down to 57kg safely. This was the best I’ve ever felt during prep, and I’m blown away by how much stronger I got while cutting.
To my family, friends, and the Strength Lab crew—your support means the world. You’ve all made this journey so much better.

I’m beyond grateful for the doors powerlifting has opened for me. It’s brought incredible people and lifelong friendships into my life and continues to do so. Despite the setbacks, I had a blast, just like I always do. I feel so lucky for having shared the same space with the incredible athletes I look up to in this sport.
