my path to working for myself as a multidisciplinary artist has been both intentional & unexpected. let me walk u through it →

🖍️ i always knew i wanted a creative job. i’ve been drawing my whole life, so obviously i picked “art” as my career (not fully knowing what “art” i’d be doing)

🎓 i studied design & motion graphics at the school of visual arts, where i learned how to think like a designer & storyteller

📚 during my time at school, i did a buuuunch of internships. i eventually landed an internship at penguin random house, which became my first big girl job while i was still at sva! i designed book covers & jackets, and it’s always crazy to see books i’ve worked on out in the wild.

💻 i freelanced on the side during my time working at random house. eventually i got busy enough to take the leap and start my own little studio of 1!

✏️ i’m suuuuper passionate about keeping the local arts community together. i was a board member at a local art center, & i currently host @njartclub , an art hang for jersey creatives.

🎨 my goal is to bring color, humor, and fun into the world. i’ve got to work on some amazing projects through illustration, animations, live events, murals, and so much more

🥯 because i’m a born & raised jersey girl here’s some of my jersey faves: my bagel order is an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese & LTO, my favorite diner is chit chat diner in hackensack, my fave boardwalk is point pleasant, and my fave spot for a sweet treat is black magic bakehouse in ridgewood

so that’s my story so far, and i’m still writing what feels like chapter 1 of a looooong book. stick around to see this jersey girl’s art journey, there’s so much more to come in the new year! 🙂‍↕️💖

bonus points if u can tell me whose quotes i’m writing 🤭

i’ve been practicing my calligraphy so much since my first @iampethofficial a couple months ago!! the binder full of all the handouts from each class is sooooo helpful 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ i’ve been using @kalomakeart spencerian references the most (even tho im remixing it my own way 🥸)

getting comfortable messing with different heights & widths of letters, cap heights, x heights, etc. basically just playing around and seeing what feels right for me ✨

pen: platinum preppy 0.2
paper: fabriano dot grid

and yes i realize i didn’t even use my @stabilo pens 😭

@iampethofficial 2026 baby!!!!! who knew i’d be back in slc ever? 🤭

i had such an amazing time at my first iampeth. the classes were amazing, the activities were so fun, and everyone was BEYONDDDD sweet 🫶 shoutout to all the friends i saw from @letter_west , it was so nice seeing u all again 🥰

here’s a little dump of pics i took on my @campsnapcamera last week 📸

okay so i was actually really nervous going into iampeth cus i really have little to no experience with a dip pen 😵‍💫

the engrossers text & french ronde classes helped me so much in understanding how to use the pen and i was way more comfortable by the end of those classes 🙂‍↕️

for spencerian script i was more focused on learning the letter forms so i mainly used a regular pen lol and for e. l. brown engrossing it felt closer to lettering so i felt more comfortable with that

hanging out with everyone at the study room while we eat snacks and draw letters is my version of a good night 🤪

shoutout to @jessiefora for teaching me some tricks of how she draws her letters & for absolutely calligraphy-mogging me in my own sketchbook

i met up with @hillarycreativeinprogress at the diy fest & we had some delishhhh ice cream while sweating like CRAZY in the heat

the pizza however was kind of a flop i’m sorry. utah please stick with dirty sodas & housewives and let nj handle the pizza thank u

iampeth was my 3rd conference this year and i’m soooo ready for more. what should i go to next?

also are you 🫵 going to iampeth ‘27 in wisconsin? 🧀 taken in Salt Lake City, Utah by @ninatsurstudio

i’ll always find a way to bring jersey with me wherever i go 🤭

i’ve been lovingggg my first @iampethofficial learning all different types of calligraphy skills and techniques.

can’t wait to keep pushing this piece as i get more comfortable with engrosser’s text. should i make this a print for the holidays?

i brought my sketchbook to the phillies vs. dodgers game to get my reps in for live drawing & immediately remembered that i can’t draw people 🫪

the crowd was going crazy, i was going crazy for the phanatic, and i tried capturing all that crazy energy on the page

instead of trying to draw the players, i just drew the scene around them, trying to capture the field and excitement from the crowd

i spent more time enjoying the game than drawing the game, but it was still some good practice for me. and it feels like a finished sketch even without capturing every element 🤓 i have my free will let me skip whatever im bad at!!!!
