Gidget went to Lackawanna for the @montclairweeniemeetup
and to see her friend Mike from L&B Healthy Pets. 🐾

She made some new friends... and, of course, exchange plenty of sniffs. 🌭🐶

Oh and we found the summer and soccer stickers. ⚽☀️

This past Thursday, @adobe invited me to attend the 99U Conference in NYC. If I had to choose one word to be the topic of the day, it would be: Humanity. Humanity has always been a massively significant part of creativity, but now it seems to be called into question as AI finds its way into every space, and I think that’s why these feel like uncertain times.

This truly felt like a pulse check of the creative industry. It was a day of hearing the observations of leaders to everyday people on every floor of the creative industry. And while there is a lot of dissonance, it seems like everyone can agree on one thing. Anyone who claims to know how the creative industry will change doesn’t. We’re all navigating this together, and it’s changing all the time.

There were so many inspiring and introspective moments throughout the day, but I’ve collected 4 highlights that really resonated with me to share.

Hi, Bagel Babes 💚

Today was our grand opening, and we’re still trying to process it all 🥹

To everyone in the Montclair community who stopped by, welcomed us, tried a bagel, took a chance on our Candy Apple Creem, shared kind words, or simply said hello, thank you.

Seeing so many new faces walk through our doors while also spotting familiar faces from Rutherford made today feel incredibly special.

It reminded us that this little bagel shop is already bringing together people from different communities, and that’s exactly what we hoped for.

Montclair Flea brought so much life to Lackawanna Station today.

Between the vintage finds, local artists, music, and all the conversations we had across the counter, it was one of those days we’ll remember for a long time.

If you came by today, thank you for making our very first grand opening one we’ll never forget.

And if you missed it, don’t worry, we’re back tomorrow! Montclair Flea runs from 11 AM to 5 PM, and we’ll be here serving fresh bagels, brekkie sammies, Creem, coffee, and plenty of Candy Apple Creem while it lasts.

Thank you for making us feel so welcome, Montclair.

Stay schmearious,

Sal 🩷

#99U made an inspiring return yesterday! Our beloved NYC conference was made all the better by our community who showed up to learn, be inspired, and make some new friends. I feel even more strongly that we as creatives will all be ok 💕 The future (we discussed at length!) is an exciting one for human creativity 🙌 Ty all for hanging out with us!

I went to 99U looking for inspiration and left with something even better—new connections.

The talks were great, but it was the conversations with creative people from different backgrounds that stuck with me. Sharing ideas, hearing different perspectives, and being reminded that we’re all figuring things out as we go.

Here’s to staying curious, never stopping learning, and the people we meet along the way who help shape the journey. #adobe99u #communityxadobe #adobe

✨LETTERWEST 2026 RECAP✨

And just like that, a week+ has passed since LETTERWEST 2026 finished and I’m already looking forward to all the friends and fun that the conference will bring next year! 🎉

But, for now, I hope y’all enjoy this lil’ recap of my weekend in Midvale, Utah gushing over hand lettering, typefaces, learning new techniques and art forms, and growing this beautiful and talented community of fellow lettering nerds that I feel lucky to be associated with 💜

Miss y’all and infinitely inspired by and in awe of these wonderful humans! Thank you for sharing space with me this year 😘

Shoutout to @letter_west & @craftlakecity for another successful LETTERWEST!!!

Still ✨VIBING✨ from this year’s @letter_west conference 🥰

What a gift it was to kick-off the conference by hosting a “Decorate Your Own Yearbook” activity 💙

I am so grateful for everything the community has provided me since 2019, and that is a place to call home 🥹

When you find your people, you will know 💙

Every year, I manage to bring more people into this welcoming community, and to watch them also fall in love with their experience the way that I did all those years ago is just magical 🥹

I love being able to have the opportunity to up my skills and understanding for different areas of the lettering industry but what I love the most is getting to know the people who set the foundation for this craft like @jessicahische & @noelbweber and also learn from so many other incredible lettering & signage artists like @lookatthatsign, and even in the tattoo industry like @jessiefora 👏🏽

And to top off the conference with an inspiring keynote from the legendary @draplin himself was a cherry on top 🥹

I am oh so very tired but still VERY inspired to continue what I do even when it gets hard and even more so when I doubt myself. Because this is HARD y’all, but that will never take away my joy in creating art with my HANDS and my OWN BRAIN 🥰

What a beautiful life that I get to live and be present for 💙

No one will ever be able take away the joy, love, and support that I have experienced being a part of this community 🥰💙🥹

Watch out @cropcons, I’m coming for you next 😉💙

Teaming up with Adobe for their VIP Wrap Party was a dream. The Luminescent Lab turned into a nonstop hit—people lined up, stepped into the dark, and as I lit them up I was met with pure awe, wonder, and excitement. It was great to share my passion with so many other talented creators.

Interested in a Luminescent Portrait or hosting the Lab? DM me anytime.
