Afternoon tea at @theritzlondon , made even more special by seeing a part of the hotel that had previously been closed to the public.

I found myself looking far beyond the table. The soft pink palette, ornate plasterwork, gilding, textiles, lighting and beautifully considered proportions are a lesson in creating interiors with presence and character.

There is so much inspiration in spaces that have been layered over time and still feel completely coherent.

Every studio says they’re different. Few will tell you how.

We design at the meeting point of two things most people treat as opposites, function and elegance. A room that looks beautiful but doesn’t work is a failure. The craft is in refusing to choose.

And our signature? It’s deliberately unfinished. It evolves with every project, every client, every space that asks a new question. A style that stops changing is a style that’s stopped listening.

Milan Design Week 2026, still on my mind.

Between Salone del Mobile and Fuorisalone, it wasn’t the scale that stayed with me, it was the control. Softer tones, strong silhouettes, materials speaking for themselves.

There’s a shift happening. Luxury interiors are becoming quieter, more precise, less about statement and more about balance.

This is exactly how I approach my projects in London. Clean layouts, bespoke pieces, materials chosen to last, not just to impress.
