POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

VERY thrilled to finally get to reveal the title and synopsis of my adult debut, A JEALOUS TONGUE, which comes out February 9, 2027 with @unionsqandco !!! This is my love letter to the Gothic genre, to translation, to horror and ADHD and horrible women. (Shoutout to my editor @ardyceelaine for helping me make them SO much worse.)

Swipe to see the title and full description of the novel! I can’t wait for you to meet Eleonore, Therese, and my poor, poor narrator next February. You can add it on G00dreads via the link in my b10!! by @nitatyndall

Over on Substack @katy_derbyshire_books was kind enough to let me interview her for the end of #WomenInTranslation month! She had some fantastic things to share about her process and women in translation and I'm delighted to get to share it with you all—head on over to my Substack to read the full interview. by @nitatyndall

ARCs of A JEALOUS TONGUE have landed!!!!!!! (Note this is not the final cover but I have SEEN the final cover and will be doing a reveal when I can!) Swipe for the super chilling synopsis, a sneak peek at my favorite scene, and a bonus photo of Pumpkin (who couldn’t care less about ARCs and just wants her dinner!)

Also… let’s do a giveaway! Comment your favorite Gothic or translated novel and I’ll randomly select a winner to receive a physical ARC of A JEALOUS TONGUE! US only for the moment, but there will be more international giveaways in the future! by @nitatyndall

It’s here! Swipe to see the full details for the Spanish-language version of HAVE YOU SEEN THIS GIRL, published by @fcemexico and beautifully translated by @juanainesdehesa !! Love love LOVE seeing her name on the cover too. I’m so excited Sid’s story will reach more readers and I can’t wait to hold a copy of this one in my hands. The details of the bike!! The shack! The missing posters! Truly incredible and I’m obssssed with the colors.

It’s going to be in the 90s in NC this week, which always has me either dreaming of the pool or longing to be indoors in the sweet, sweet air conditioning and reading. This year I thought I’d set up a summer reading challenge for myself—at least one book from each of these categories. I’m not sure what little treat I’ll get myself if I fill up my bingo board (either a book or maybe some ice cream from The Parlour…) but I’m looking forward to the challenge!

I’ve made a less-Nita-specific bingo board on the final slide in case any of you feel like joining me! Set a prize for yourself and follow along, and let’s get to reading! <3

Happy Pride! If you haven't read any of my YA, now's a great time to pick them up (or order signed copies from @flyleafbooks !) There's something for everyone in these, whether you like sad contemporary (WHO I WAS WITH HER), sad historical (NOTHING SUNG), or a tense thriller (HAVE YOU SEEN THIS GIRL). All are very close to my heart and all of them are super super queer. by @nitatyndall

Over on Substack I wrote about going home and how much I loved writing when I was sixteen and how badly I want to find that feeling again.

I also wrote about inkpop. Does anyone remember inkpop? It’s where I met @rosieethor and @heyashposton and it sure was a website. (And despite all the drama on it I do miss it.) That is my actual book in the screenshot on the third slide. I went by weplayedpirates. (yes it is a Spring Awakening reference) by @nitatyndall

I read seven books in March! Which TBH is a lot for me but so many of these (especially @gaileyfrey’s MAKE ME BETTER) hooked me and didn’t let me go. This was also my first time reading WE HAVE ALWAYS LIVED IN THE CASTLE and I was HOOKED. Consider me a convert.

I have a thirty minute commute to my day job every day which just means more audiobook time too—definitely more of those in April!

What’s on your TBR for the month?

Late to the party as always but this trend was too cute not to participate in! And very fitting for #transdayofvisibility —I didn’t know I was trans until I was an adult (despite the fixation on Adam from Degrassi??) but this kid sure knew she was different somehow. (At the very least I was a cheerful little kid for writing such sad freaking books as an adult.)

Protect trans kids. Read trans books—not just during trans readathon but always.

And maybe I’ll have more books to talk about soon… by @nitatyndall

Today’s the beginning of the Trans Rights Readathon! The auction this year is benefiting @pointofprideorg and I’ve donated a signed and personalized copy of my trans YA, HAVE YOU SEEN THIS GIRL.

It means so much to me to be able to participate in the readathon in any capacity, especially for an organization like Point of Pride, which provides financial aid towards gender-affirming surgery, HRT/telehealth access, permanent hair removal, and other types of care.

I’m so proud of all my trans siblings not just this week but every day. There’ve been some fantastic trans book recommendations floating around, so definitely check those out <3

Had an absolute blast with these other authors last week @flyleafbooks !! So much queer trans Southern joy in one room 🥰 🏳️‍⚧️ it was a joy to talk about what being queer in the south means for all of us and how it influences our writing. HUGE thanks to @allys_shelf for moderating and Alex and Maggie at Flyleaf for putting the event together! taken in Flyleaf Books by @nitatyndall
