Thrilled to have had the opportunity to direct @tiroshspetals “I Love You, Bobby Wilson” for @thepublicassembly 50th show! As always, it’s a wild and crazy month to put this show up but Tirosh, curator @nityavidyasagar, artistic director @nharrisonmurphy and my incredible cast of @alexkleee, @surajpartha, @sawyer_scott_patterson, and @raul_directs (who in addition to playing our Cameraman was set and prop builder extraordinaire) made it a dream! Special shout out to @joshgron and Suraj for creating the musical accompaniment for Bobby Wilson and my wife @hemingwayelisa for costumes. This one was special and I cannot say enough good things about our group. And Tirosh, I woke up singing “If You Only Knew” and I blame you entirely!

2025 has made it harder to escape our ugliness. I’ve also found myself trying to reconcile myself to an industry I have worked in, as well as the culture it/we create. What delivered me from the resulting despair was @thepublicassembly. Being among them has exploded the parts of my soul that light up from making the kind of art that has always mattered the most to me. Thank you to every person who is part of this beautiful system for reminding me of what matters. 🙏🏽 to @nataliemiasantiago @katebanford @raul_directs and @metzaballsoup for everything and to @ashalexander.studio @nharrisonmurphy for the 📷 and @raquelhorsford for the 🎥 by @nityavidyasagar

There is something about large groups of musicians playing together that makes my heart explode… marching bands and symphonies alike. There’s nothing else like it. Thank you to the @sbsymphony for the opportunity to collaborate with so many wonderful artists on a single stage. 🙏🏽 taken in The Granada Theatre by @nityavidyasagar
