Wait for the saravedi in the end 🤪 A killer choreography by Lakshman Sir- He absolutely loves adding thai hath thai hi and that thai tha ha adavus right at the end of a Jathiswaram or Thillana. Honestly, I love them just as much—it gives me the ultimate adrenaline rush! Here’s a short snippet of the Hindolam Thillana from this year’s Spirit of Youth festival. Deeply grateful to my Guru for her endless love, guidance, and encouragement. 💕🙏🏻 The brilliant orchestra supporting me: Nattuvangam: Smt. Roja Kannan (@reddrose6 akka) Vocal: Smt. Radha Badri (@radha.badri aunty) Mridangam: Sri. Nellai D. Kannan (@nellaikannan1957 sir) Veena: Sri. N. Anantha Narayanan (@ananthuveena sir) Flute: Sri. T. The fun part of this whole series was getting to shoot my best friend!🩷 There’s something so nice about working with people you’re comfortable with, where ideas just happen on the spot and they’re happy to let you experiment with your own shots. We ended up trying so many creative things over those two days, and I’m so glad we did! After seeing how much thought, effort and money went into the location and production, it feels really good to see everything come together so beautifully. And the best part? Nothing felt forced. Everything just flowed, and I think that’s what made this whole experience so special! ✨ . #bts #chennai #navaratri #2026 #dance by @nivedha.arts
‘Navabhasha’ - Navratri series 2026 - Day 9- Manipravalam Even though not an individual language in itself, Manipravalam combines Sanskrit with South Indian languages like Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. About Manipravalam: Manipravalam (மணிப்பிரவாளம் / മണിപ്രവാളം) is a traditional literary style that beautifully blends Sanskrit with a regional language, particularly Tamil or Malayalam. The word comes from two Sanskrit terms: Mani (மணி) – Ruby Pravalam (பவளம்) – Coral Just as ruby and coral are combined to create a beautiful ornament, Manipravalam combines Sanskrit and regional-language expressions to create an elegant literary form. Manipravalam has a special place in South Indian devotional literature and performing arts. It is found in devotional compositions, poetry and religious commentaries. In Carnatic music, compositions blend Sanskrit, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam or other South Indian languages. This composition of Dikshitar combines Sanskrit, Tamil and Telugu🙏🏻 Song: Sri Abhayamba Composer: Sri. Muthuswamy Dikshitar Ragam: Sri Talam: Adi Language: Manipravalam Day 9 color: Peacock green We thank you for joining us this Navarathri through Navabasha, as we celebrated the divine Goddess through nine different languages.
