Another great workshop with @smudge_studiobk and @caseformakingfriends. Not bad for 90 minutes!

I know the song is about little caterpillars, but they become butterflies, right?

Can’t wait to finish these three paintings. Enjoying learning what colors to layer to really make things pop. Trying out not being too perfect and letting go of the worry to make this look exactly like the real thing. Loving the wet on wet technique.

Heirloom tomato online workshop today was great. Claire @smudge_studiobk made mixing colors seem so easy. Great way to spend 90 minutes. Definitely going to work on tomatoes more this summer!

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to see Dr. Nathan Fulton complete his optometry program graduating from @theohiostateuniversity
It was a pleasure to celebrate with his family and my daughter, especially the alumni majorette with the knife juggling.
Peep little Buddy’s fancy bow tie look for the big day!
Now they are off to their new adventure and I’m wishing them well! Go @nathan_fulton and @isabellasouth !! by @nmclaro

My artwork has made it to my website! I’m excited to share all that I’ve been making over the past year. Watercolor is a practice I started about three years ago and it has been a great experience learning how to incorporate it into my ink and pencil sketches.

I decided to join #releaseday2026 @creative.quests @creativemorning @adobe to send my work out into the world!

Reach out for exhibits, purchase info on existing pieces as well as custom requests. Link in bio. taken in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin by @nmclaro

Week two of our five minute watercolors, @supermakeit
Apparently I love painting fruit. I really enjoyed the egg painting, too. This has been a great way to take a moment to slow down every day and immerse myself in a calming and fun activity.

5 of my five minute paintings, each is 3”x3”. I like to work small. I’ve been working on shading and finding this to be a very good way to practice.
Thanks @supermakeit for the inspiration!

Mod Podge! Day 3 with @supermakeit
Our fabulous mom, Fran, was a big decoupage crafter in the ‘70’s. I remember making a wood plaque with either a Betsy Clarke or Holly Hobby motif. I am not 100% sure when @modpodgecrafts glue made the first appearance but I do recall it being a staple. I use it for miniatures and collages to this day.
Two five minute paintings included. I don’t love the scale on one and the other was hard to read. But what fun to create!

I started my Le Crueset collection when I was 19 years old because my mom cherished her collection. Shipped it along w my books and belongings from NY to SF at 22. Moved house 12 times in SF with my ever-growing collection. Well traveled collection now lives in Wisconsin with us and it still brings me joy.
5 minute watercolor: I’m keeping these to two colors and layering different values for depth. @supermakeit love this exercise! by @nmclaro

So many seasons in one week! A beautiful beef stew based on Julia Childs’ Boeuf Bourginon. Patience and a whole lot of searing/browning take these simple ingredients and make a savory treat.
