What an honor it was to step on stage once again at the 2026 NPC Michigan State Championship. @michigannpc @bruyninga

Every prep teaches you something new, and this year was no different. Between changing careers, starting a new job, getting engaged, and preparing for a move, life was moving fast. But none of those challenges slowed down the goal of stepping on stage, and they certainly didn’t slow down the work that prep required. Stay focused. Believe in yourself and you can truly do amazing things.

A huge thank you to my new coach @coach_quadriceps for taking me on with only 12 weeks until show day and putting together a plan that we executed to perfection. You kept me focused, accountable, and prepared and most importantly calm, collected and confident. Together, we brought my best package to date, 16 pounds heavier than my previous stage weight while maintaining the conditioning needed to compete at a high level. I’m excited for what the future holds and what we can continue to build together.

To my fiancée @nmiramont35 and my son Niko: you are the true MVPs of every prep. The people closest to us often make the biggest sacrifices. Thank you for your patience, encouragement, and unwavering support throughout this journey. Prep Mike isn’t always the easiest person to be around, but you helped me push through every challenge and stay committed to the goal. I couldn’t have done it without you.

To my friends, family, and fellow competitors who reached out with words of encouragement throughout prep and on show day—thank you. Your support means more than you know.

This is only the beginning.
Taking 1st place in the 35+ division and 2nd place in the Open is a step in the right direction, but the work is far from over.
