To celebrate Kurasu’s “The Stand” 1st year anniversary, @kurasusg and I collaborated on a bandana design that encapsulates the vast universe of coffee elements that inspires the folks here to make greatness in every cup of coffee you taste. For a maximalist who just wants to slap on a bunch of details, this design was an exercise of restraint. If you are curious about what elements inspired this design, you can scroll and check out all the abstract details that went into illustrating what Kurasu stands for. Also, we all love a good product mock up 😜 Bandanas in 2 colourways are available for purchase at both Kurasu Waterloo and “The Stand” till stock last. New Menu Launch - 18th June “Unveiling our Spacer Woman” - our newest menu illustrated by Trang Dang showing a portrayal of extra celestial goddess who has fingers in many ‘glasses’, stirring chaos through music, causing disruption and explosion of favours. ✨ Drawing musical inspiration from Spacer Woman by Charlie, a story told from the Spacer Woman—an extraterrestrial or celestial, feminine being who is trying to entice our earth-based listener. Coining the phrase “Italo disco” with lyrics such as : I’m a Spacer Woman Don’t you worry ‘bout me I don’t want to hurt you I just want to love you! Huge thanks to everyone who stopped by to call my art CUNTY, circled the booth 6 7 times before finally committing to a print (I saw you), or accidentally became my new friend. I couldn’t feature every single one of you so here is a fraction of cuties and baddies who walked away with a piece of me. The weekend was equal parts selling art and yapping, which, conveniently, are two of my favourite activities. The best part was doing it alongside the most saturated red man in Singapore - redder than the Singapore flag itself - Queen @okenak . ❤️ Big thank you to @illustrationartfest, @oicsingapore and @thirtytwocm for continuing to grow the illustration community and giving all of us a reason to leave our caves, touch grass, and remember that illustrators are, in fact, the most introverted yappers.
