April is edging to a close and @offdaybeer Canvas is taking you to wine country! This time, they’ve brought hoppy twins, Nelson Sauvin and Citra along to juice up this trip 🤪

Expect the unusual tooty-fruity blend of gooseberries, kiwi and persimmons notes while you #drinkforgoodluck by the lane.

Check out CANVAS Nelson Sauvin / Citra as it hits the taps and shelves islandwide since Thursday (29 April).

More about the artwork: Created by local artist @trangdrawsbangs — Trang Dang's illustration is inspired by the familiar process of casting aside the inherent inertia before getting up and doing something that some might eventually find kinda fun!

You already know, this is definitely going up the can wall at Good Luck Beerhouse!

There's another card up our sleeves before April ends!

This month, CANVAS brings us to wine-ish territory! In a NEIPA, we experimented with Nelson Sauvin and Citra to give us more reasons to unwind and relax with an unusual tooty-fruity blend of gooseberries, kiwi and persimmons notes.

Check out CANVAS Nelson Sauvin / Citra as it hits the taps and shelves islandwide on Thursday (29 April).

Stockist list will be up soon!

---

Like all CANVAS, adorning the limited 500ml cans is an artwork by a local artist. (@Trangdrawsbangs) Trang Dang's illustration is inspired by the familiar process of casting aside the inherent inertia before getting up and doing something that some might eventually find kinda fun!

What an eye-catching work from Trang, who works as an illustrator and art director at @Goodstuph. You will find her works in the areas of ad and social media content. She enjoys creating colourful slice-of-life illustrations and hopes they will inspire others to pick up a pen and tell their story visually. When she's not drawing, she's all about memes, music, or mindless reality TV! #offdaybeer

@trangdrawsbangs where I get my illustrations done
•
Gear:
Wacom Intuos Pro (cos im a professional now)
iMac 27 inch (that i took from work during covid19)
Cocopops or Honeystars cos I'm a starving artist
Spotify & my Marshall headphones to block out my yapping housemate (Sanjuju)
Zig memory system millennium marker in BLK to doodle when my hands are itchy

Favourite:
Wacom Intuos Pro
This wacom is an upgrade from my first Intuos draw that I started out with, and used for abt a year. Then @likeswimming got me the pro one to upgrade my skills. It's much more sensitive and precise, so I can play around with brushes instead of sticking to my original style which is vector flat art, so if you look at my work from Jan onwards the work has more depth thanks to the new Intous pro.

This is what I strive for in my illustrations as well, to find the style that people can identify me with. • @trangdrawsbangs

“Unconsciously, probably, I was painting the loneliness of a large city.” – Edward Hopper

4 Southeast Asian artists, all from different parts of the region, have incorporated their own perspective and experience to reinterpret one of the most iconic and timeless paintings in American art. Loneliness is a universal human experience, even more so in this time of isolation, and these works explore the comfort we find in our own familiar settings.
