For our latest radio episode we sat down with @noaerni and @nardosays , who just released their gorgeous mini-album „BEAMS, SCREENS & THE SOUND OF LOVE“ via Kommerz Records. Plus: bass player @graetschuar gets a cameo appearance. Noa Erni, producer and composer in Berlin, and Nardo, singer, songwriter and rapper in Pittsburgh, are an unconventional artist duo: Both are in their 40s, cherish their secluded „stay at home“-lifestyles, which gives them time to work on their music after coming home from work. On top, we played some old and new music, including more Kommerz releases from @dim.fumes s and @calidaray_ . taken in Berlin by @noaerni

"This one for the producers. Y'all know how we feel about our equipment. 'Don't touch my equipment, I'm the only one hittin' switches'..." Nardo

Fun story about that track is that @nardosays didn't actually wanted to have it on the album but luckily changed his mind due to intense nagging. This is the spontaneous energy in the middle of the album. A track like a muscle spasm. DO NOTHING SKIT taken in Berlin by @noaerni

Can't always

Haha can't always
Haha can't always
Haha can't always
Haha can't always
Can't always
Talk s*** out
In every detail
Can't always
Fight about
Till someone walks out
Can't always
Warn each other
If s*** gets complex
Can't always..
Power struggle for the juice
You push I pull
No use
Let me call a truce
I swear we on a tape loop
Some kind of deja Vu du
Words get jumbled don't know who's who
I'm trying to break this usual
Change it up
Not trying to fued with you
Even though I don't know what to do with you
But I don't wanna go without
Even with your mouth all poked out
I'll take it all even with the attitude
I know you like that I'm that type of dude
You don't gotta lie I can see
Can hide the grin when you showing teeth taken in Berlin by @noaerni

Exactly three years ago we released Noa Erni‘s „The Mental Traveller” LP. It was the first album on Kommerz Records and also the biggest group effort so far.
On the music side it has features from legend @countbassd, long time collaborators @milesbonny, @s_fidelity, @shamirofwolm, @robot.orchestra and @nardosays.
For the visual side we put together a team of creatives to build a whole universe around the album:
@benediktluft made the beautiful cover illustration.
@dominikkeller_of put at magic graphic spell on it
@sms_3d brought it all to live with their real world 3D videos. For which we gathered the help from @rianneshoots and @archibald_opteryx to DOP the studio footage.
Check out the documentation we made with @noaerni to introduce him a little surrounding the release of the album. You find it on our YouTube via the link in bio.
