We would like to express our condolences to Rivka Saker on the passing of Uzi Zucker.

Rivka is a devoted friend and supporter of the Noa Eshkol Foundation for Movement Notation, and has accompanied the Noa Eshkol House, the Archive’s activities, and the Chamber Dance Group over the years.

We share in her grief and that of her family.

No Rules, no Theory- Only Passion

We mourn the passing of Michal Shoshani, who passed away at a ripe old age.

Michal was an international expShoshaniovement and dance notation, and for many years headed the Noa Eshkol Archive.
She collaborated on the writing and notation of numerous books in EWMN and was a member of the Noa Eshkol Foundation.

We are deeply grateful for her extensive work, the knowledge she shared, and the path she paved for those who follow.
May her memory be a blessing.

Jewish School of Art 2026 – Masterclass with @noaeshkolfoundation 🔄 PERFORMANCE MASTERCLASS WITH THE NOA ESHKOL FOUNDATION: DISCIPLINED THE ARCHIVE: ESHKOL-WACHMAN MOVEMENT NOTATION AS A TOOL FOR CREATIVE WORK
👤 Noa Eshkol Foundation: Mor Bashan (Dancer of the Noa Eshkol Chamber Dance Group and Head of Archive)

Noa Eshkol was a highly influential Israeli dancer, choreographer and visual artist. This five-day Masterclass engages with the Eshkol-Wachman Movement Notation (EWMN) – a technique to notate movements to develop and uncover rich and complex compositions – as a living archive: movement scores, the designing and conceiving of the notation method, and its creative applications
Students will explore core EWMN concepts, take part in movement classes drawn from Eshkol’s repertoire, and experiment with short composition exercises guided by the method. In addition to physical practice, the workshop will incorporate sessions that draw on archival materials.

The Masterclass will be held in English. 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼
The Masterclass is intended for artists from all artistic disciplines, e.g. visual arts and performance arts, who are interested in movement as a language and as a structure for creation.
