On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings of this week, Noah Falck, will lead a workshop titled "Poetry as an Act of Attention”, which invites you to slow down and allow your “serious noticing” to guide you into new patterns of thought.

In the afternoons of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, Sunita Puri will lead a workshop titled “Memoir: Writing the Experiences of Illness and Grief”, while both experiences can make us feel profoundly alone and isolated, the stories we read, tell, and write are powerful antidotes, offering connection and hope.

Fourteen years of readings in the grain silos, and last night felt wildly significant. We launched our 14th season with Ross Gay and brought our six-month In Gratitude project to a close, surrounding ourselves with community reflections we’ve been gathering since January. Deepest thanks to the many partners and participants who made it all possible.

We’ve been fans of poet, educator, & curator @noahfalck since discovering his writing back in 2019/2020 & we’re so thrilled he blurbed Réka Nyitrai’s upcoming book. His collection ‘Exclusions’ remains a favorite as well as past solo collections & 2022’s collaborative release with Matt McBride. Regardless of which book you grab, you won’t be disappointed.

Big shout out loud to @poetrydaily365 for sharing @justbuffalolit’s latest project, IN GRATITUDE.

The project is basically an invititatiom to pay a little bit closer attention and to archive that attention, that noticing that could change us.

Friday night I was able to read poems at the @burchfieldpenney art center (presented with the @buffalocorrespondanceschool) alongside some of my favorite people. The reading was really more of a performance engulfed by the music of @plantwater716 and the beautiful projection artwork of @arielabergriger.

I’m still bubbling with gratitude from the collaboration and to all of those who came out to support the project.

Our first-ever release from the dynamically-inventive band Plant Water (Kevin Cain // @Kevinobriencain, guitar/loops; Patrick Jackson // @paddymcjackson, bass; Ryan Campbell // @ryanledwithcampbell, percussion/drums) and poet Noah Falck // @noahfalck.
