It’s been one week since we were down in BV creating with the @prettylights crew, and I’ve been riding a legit high ever since.

A huge thank you to Derek for continuing to create from such an open and generous place, and for building a world that has given so many of us permission to dream bigger.

I’ve been feeling that freedom of expression for 20 years now, when I downloaded that first PL album, started manifesting this audio/visual career, and eventually found my way West.

All these years later, the artistic possibilities still feel limitless. It’s a true honor to work alongside the people who lit that spark in the first place. A trip through time, indeed…

There’s something quite powerful about putting @marenmorris ’ voice in front of a 25-piece @coloradosymphony at @redrocksco.

Our crew set out to capture visuals that carried some of that scale without losing the intimacy of the performance, and we’re really proud of what we created.

Last night we wrapped an amazing 3-night run flying high above @redrocksco for @goosetheband, under the direction of @mrchiefers @c_roll_productions, and alongside a killer video/photo crew.

Although this crew knows @redrocksco well, we returned a few weeks ago to produce a 17-camera shoot with a more intentional approach.

The challenge was capturing the scale and dynamics of @marenmorris, her band, special guests @brandicarlile @amandapearlshires of @thehighwomen, and a 25-piece @coloradosymphony behind them.

This time around, we brought on 1st AC @louisfehlig to pull wireless focus for our lead singer hero camera, rented the gorgeously textured @cookeoptics SP3 primes, and spent ample time discussing how every crew member contributed to the whole.

We were recently nominated for a Heartland Emmy for our work on the show “Colorado Soundstage” on PBS!

Thanks to @tombrainard @pbs12_co and @7smgmt for bringing us on to shoot @shanesmithmusic at @redrocksco a few years ago…
