I had the honor of chatting with one of my musical heroes, String Cheese Incident (@sci_official) bassist Keith Moseley. As a live music lover, jam fan, and SCI devotee, this story hit especially close to home. I can’t remember the last time I was that nervous and excited for an interview.

And yes, I got to ask the questions we’ve all been wondering about. Spoiler: they absolutely know which songs fans are chasing and when to hold them back. But that elusive late-’90s gem you’ve been waiting years to hear again? Sometimes it’s not strategy at all. Sometimes it’s just buried somewhere in the band’s massive, ever-growing catalog.

Getting to talk music, memories, and the spirit behind one of Colorado’s most beloved bands was something I won’t forget anytime soon.

Huge thank you to Keith for sharing his and SCI’s journey with me, and to the wonderful @emily_ginsberg for setting up the interview. Most of all, thank you to SCI for creating community, unforgettable jams, and magical nights for more than three decades. See you boys at @redrocksco

There’s something quite powerful about putting @marenmorris ’ voice in front of a 25-piece @coloradosymphony at @redrocksco.

Our crew set out to capture visuals that carried some of that scale without losing the intimacy of the performance, and we’re really proud of what we created.

Last night we wrapped an amazing 3-night run flying high above @redrocksco for @goosetheband, under the direction of @mrchiefers @c_roll_productions, and alongside a killer video/photo crew.

Here are a few stills by @jrb_visuals from Friday night…

Although this crew knows @redrocksco well, we returned a few weeks ago to produce a 17-camera shoot with a more intentional approach.

The challenge was capturing the scale and dynamics of @marenmorris, her band, special guests @brandicarlile @amandapearlshires of @thehighwomen, and a 25-piece @coloradosymphony behind them.

This time around, we brought on 1st AC @louisfehlig to pull wireless focus for our lead singer hero camera, rented the gorgeously textured @cookeoptics SP3 primes, and spent ample time discussing how every crew member contributed to the whole.
