Hi! Hello!

Happy to have you here! It’s been awhile since I’ve introduced myself and would love to be more active here in the upcoming months. Not going to lie but the second the follower count hit above 1500, I started to feel the need to clam up a bit more. But truly, the knitting community is so kind and welcoming, I realize all these feelings are really all internal and sharing connections with all my fellow knitters is really just the best!

I’ll be going back to work as a teacher at the end of April. It’s been 5 years 😮since I last taught, a new baby and Covid in 2020 jumpstarted my parental leave and I’ve been away longer than I anticipated. But until I return, I’m excited to bring maybe a couple new designs to you all 🤞🏽and really just share more of all things knitted related (and of course snippets of life/tasty treats/daily musings).

If you’ve knit any of my patterns I’m so grateful for your support. It honestly brings me so much joy to see your versions of what I designed. I do a little dance in my head (sometimes not in my head) each time I see one of my designs knit up.

The Side Bow Slipover 🎀 is out and live on Ravelry! Link in bio.

The Side Bow Slipover is the perfect transitional piece and makes for a great addition to your spring wardrobe. 🌷It’s a very versatile piece that can be worn overtop dresses, or even add that feminine touch to a basic outfit like jeans and a t-shirt.

I would be so grateful if you could share this post, or even like the pattern on Ravelry! I appreciate the support!

Some quick notes about this pattern:
- 9 sizes: intended to fit chest sizes: 28, 32, 36 (40, 44, 48)(52, 56, 60)” / 70, 80, 90 (100, 110, 120)(130, 140, 150)
- Finished Chest circumference: 32, 36, 40 (44, 48, 52)(56, 60, 64)” / 80, 90, 100 (110, 120, 130)(140, 150, 160) cm
- Knit Top Down
- Yardage: 650, 700, 800 (850, 950, 1050)(1150, 1200, 1300) yds / 600, 650, 750 (800, 900, 950)(1050, 1100, 1200) m of worsted weight yarn
- Gauge: 20 sts x 30 rows = 4” / 10 cm in stockinette on US 7 / 4.5 mm needles

The beige sample uses @cascadeyarns 220 Superwash Merino and the blue sample uses @knittingforolive Heavy Merino.

Long Line Pullover

At the top of my list for my fall knit essentials 🍂. The elongated lines turn what could be a plain oversized casual sweater, into something a tad more put together. The easiest piece to throw on top of any outfit. It’s a knit I highly recommend but I’m just a bit biased.

Named after my mom, the Cari top has been such an easy wear this summer! Reliable, and a staple (much like my mom!) it’s been my go to knit to pair with any outfit.

It’s been about a year and a half since the Side Bow Slipover has been released and it’s been so, so lovely seeing all the different versions come out!

I’m always looking to improve my patterns and I’ve noticed that the pattern could benefit from having some bust darts added to the pattern.

Ive been working with my tech editor @knitjulep to add these in and she’s been absolutely wonderful aiding me in these additions.

Working on a crew neck version of the Hannah Cardigan - My Size. Definitely missed doing half fisherman’s rib, it’s really such a lovely squishy texture!

The Cari Top was a design I released last year that I was hoping to give more love to this year but alas, life got in the way. It’s been a staple in my wardrobe this year as it has been so easy to pair with basically any bottom.

I chose to knit the purple sample with 100% linen and though at times it was a pain on the hands I really cannot recommend the finished product enough. The drape is everything!

Had the pleasure of visiting The Woolly Bulldog this weekend in Fort Langley!

When Angel first told me of her plans to open a yarn shop I squealed with joy for her! I finally had a chance to visit this weekend and it did not disappoint. Yarn staples like a variety of Knitting for Olive and Sandnes Garn were there as well as a lovely selection of local dyers. I managed to snag myself a SQ as well 😏. Highly recommend a visit! by @noelle.knits
