BlkEdFamilYYYYYYYY! 🗣️🖤 WE DID ITTTTT!

The 2nd Annual #BlkEdSummit was a HUGE SUCCESS! 🔥🔥🔥

A SOLD OUT professional learning experience for educators, hosted right here in Wilmington, Delaware, and BABYYYYY THE VIBES WERE IMMACULATE! 🙌🏾

We LEARNED! We LAUGHED! We CRIED! We CONNECTED! We CELEBRATED! And most importantly, we REMEMBERED WHOSE WE ARE! 🖤

And a HUGEEEE shoutout to our phenomenal keynote speaker, Dr. Chris Emdin(@chrisemdin ), who brought the FIRE, challenged us to think deeper, reminded us of the power we hold as educators, and left us feeling SEEN, AFFIRMED, and READY to shake things up! 🔥🖤 THIS is what happens when brilliance meets purpose!

The room was INTERGENERATIONAL, filled with educators from across the ENTIRE state of Delaware, with MOST school districts represented! From aspiring educators to seasoned veterans, classroom teachers to educational leaders, we showed up, showed OUT, and poured into one another!

And THAT is what this is all about! Creating the spaces we need, having the conversations that matter, and building the community we deserve!

DELAWARE, LOOK WHAT WE DID! 🗣️🔥

To every speaker, attendee, partner, sponsor, volunteer, and person who believed in this vision — THANK YOUUUUU! You helped make this one for the BOOKS! 📚

TWO YEARS DOWN AND WE’RE JUST GETTING STARTED! 🚀

RECAP 🎤🔥 MATH IS SO GANGSTA

Our Founder, @drroblesz, took the stage at #BLKEDSummit2026 for a Real Talk on the power, pressure, and potential of Black male math educators. ➕➖✖️➗

Representation isn't a buzzword. It's what shows our students who they can become. 🙌🏾

And the weekend was a VIBE! 🔥 It was a pleasure to meet Dr. @chrisemdin and learn just how closely aligned our stories, experiences, and visions are.

Thank you, BLKED, for giving us the space to share, connect, and have these conversations this weekend! 🙌🏾

The Delaware Black Educators Summit!!!! Thank you for creating the space for us to simply BREATHE!!!

Smiling faces, genuine hugs (even from one of my favorite colleagues who I haven't seen in 5 years), affirming fist bumps, the constant symphony of slapping hands just before the brotherhood embrace.....the family reunion feeling!

COMMUNITY! CONNECTION! CREATIVITY! 🖤❤️💚💛 I am humbled and honored to share space and my expertise such esteemed educators.

“Towards a Pedagogical Deliverance: Consciousness and Creativity in the Age of the Artificial.”

Dr. Christopher Emdin spoke those words at The Mill in Wilmington, and the room went still the way a darkroom does just before the image begins to rise.

He told Black educators that deliverance does not come from shrinking. It comes from walking into every classroom, every boardroom, every space built without us in mind, carrying all of who we are. Our language. Our rhythm. Our grandmothers’ wisdom and our own unfinished dreams. The machines are learning to imitate everything. They will never learn to be us.

So pull up as your authentic Black self, and let the world do the adjusting.

That was the lesson that shall sit with many.

Black Educators’ Summit 2026
Remembering whose we are.

Yesterday, Black educators, leaders, and community gathered in Wilmington for the 2026 BlkEd Summit at The Mill.

An intergenerational conversation about education, legacy, identity, and the responsibility of carrying something forward.

Because this work did not begin with us.

We inherited classrooms, institutions, stories, sacrifices, and dreams. Now we decide what gets preserved, what gets challenged, and what gets passed on.

This is what community looks like when we remember that education is bigger than a profession. It is lineage.

Proud to have documented a piece of it. taken in The Mill Space by @noir.edu_
