Damn. Somehow the ten-year anniversary of From The Mountains To The Sea slipped right past me. That shit happens when you’re in your 30s. Anyway. When I listen to this record (EP? Full length? Who cares!) all this time later I can see so vividly in my mind’s eye the four of us really figuring out what the hell this band was gonna be and the excitement that comes with that. This record is very clearly rough around the edges (and in the other non-edges parts too) but it has a lot of charm and there are some really good songs here that I’m still very proud of. Do y’all still fw this record? taken in Portland, Oregon by @noise_brigade

Man. It’s already been two whole years since The Mess Inside Of Me dropped. This record represents a lot for us. After a Covid-induced hiatus and lineup change, Nathan booked the three of us at the time a week stay at a house out on the Oregon coast with the goal of just setting our shit up, writing some songs and seeing what happens naturally.

That week was some of the most fun I’ve ever had in this band. It felt so good to know that we could still do this after a period of uncertainty in a band that has been such a huge part of our lives since we were kids.

90% you hear on the record was written and recorded in that session. Some real lightning-in-a-bottle shit. We did absolutely everything for this release by ourselves (minus the photography by @lonelierthangod and @punch.dance.rage ) and that proved to us that we had what it took to keep doin this damn thing and I’m so glad we did. Opening with Fiberglass felt so dope because each of us contributed equally to the end product (stemming from Demetrik and Nathan’s initial collaboration) and it felt like pure NB in a time where we weren’t super sure what that looked like. This whole record was so collaborative the whole way through and I’m really proud of that.

I love this record and what it meant for us at the time and still does: back to basics. Playing some loud-ass rock music with my best friends for fun. Thanks for reading, thanks for stickin with us. New music is coming. by @noise_brigade

It’s hard to believe that it’s been ten whole years since we moved to Portland. We were just four knuckleheads that wanted to play some rock music and we hit the ground running man. It’s hard to express in an IG post how grateful we are for all the friends we’ve made down here in the last decade, but trust me when I say that all of you made us the people we are today and we cherish every single memory with every single friend we’ve made.

It’s been a long ten years away. Thank you for being our friends. We love you all with everything we’ve got. New music in 2025. Noise Boyz forever let’s go by @noise_brigade
