I am taking the summer off to travel. I will start taking new orders in mid August. For the past 15 years (minus Covid), I have either been a full time camera assistant on set or worked full time for a rental house. But this year, that ended so I’m doing things I wasn’t able to do before. I am very grateful for all of you and the work you’ve given me. I look forward to doing more when I get back! 🎬 by @nolaslates

A few highlights from my trip to India and Nepal. I will be back in the office this weekend. The trip could not have happened without @retreatours and @bj.graf. 😍🇳🇵🇮🇳 by @nolaslates

Second reusable dry erase pen made by @filmsticks_co tested. Comes with extra nibs so if you prefer a bullet tip, this may be best for you. Also available on Amazon. Erased 20 times on the blank faceplate and last photo is to show what writing looks like on it. I make all of my slates out of polycarbonate so results may be different on acrylic. Let’s make small steps to be more green on set. ♻️🎬 #gogreen #greenfilmmaking #dryerase #clapperboard by @nolaslates

Trying out reusable dry erase pens. I make all of my slates out of polycarbonate so results may be different on acrylic. This is one by Pilot - available on Amazon. It has a chisel tip (I prefer) and is dark. Erases well. The blank faceplate was erased 20 times to show residue. The one with writing shows show dark and clean writing is. We can make small steps to be more green on set. ♻️🎬 #gogreen #greenfilmmaking #dryerase #clapperboard by @nolaslates
