Art makes life better.
We bring meaningful artwork into spaces where people live, work & heal.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

At first glance, these commissioned works by Minnesota artist Josie Lewis @josielewisart read as bold fields of color. Spend a little more time with them and the layers begin to emerge in small fragments, textures, and details that come together into something entirely new.

We loved seeing these pieces become part of The Bower.

Art in a building doesn’t have to stay the same forever.

At Forte on the Park, NOLO created a rotating art program so residents can experience new original artwork over time. Our August installation featured colorful paintings by artist Lindsay LeBeaux @studiolabeaux, bringing a fresh fusion of energy to the spaces residents use every day.

Last week, the full NOLO team came together in Minneapolis for our first annual Summer Retreat—bringing our remote team from Steamboat, Milwaukee, and Hudson together for a few days of connection, creativity, and fun.

We kicked things off with the @mncrew_mn Annual Golf Tournament, complete with matching T’s, confetti, and a little friendly competition. Then came Forest Bathing and foraging for Chicken of the Woods mushrooms (and grilling them up later!), and then a deep dive into our CliftonStrengths with @katelynra

In between the fun were conversations about our clients, new relationships, big ideas, and where we’re headed next.

We left our retreat a little more connected, a lot more inspired, and very excited for what’s ahead. by @noloarts

Every month we send a little something we call Eye Candy. It’s our way of sharing artists whose work has stayed with us long after we first discovered it. This month we’re featuring Australian artist Tamara Dean, whose underwater still lifes transform ordinary objects into something quietly unexpected.

If you’d like to receive Eye Candy each month, you can join our mailing list at noloart.com.

The NOLO team was thrilled to attend the annual @bdh.design vendor fair this week where we shared our prescription for great art consulting with their design teams, including our favorite visitor (and professional dog model, apparently) Frankie. Big thanks to the BDH team for having us! by @noloarts

The View 44 collection takes its cue from poet, writer, and tour de force in Parisian cultural life, Anna de Noailles. There's refinement here, but also a sense of play that keeps the collection from taking itself too seriously.

We love site specific, custom murals! This piece, by muralist Tony Stafki for The Winn in Golden Valley, MN, was hand painted above cafe seating in the Dog Spa. It was inspired by the late David Hockney’s 1966 painting "The Splash" - but with a puppies.

We love when our clients love art as much as we do and feature didactic plaques for residents to fully experience our thoughtful storytelling (see slide 8) shoot us a note if your next project could use a little mural magic, we’ve got you covered!

For The Miller in Stillwater, NOLO placed a ceramic work handmade by local potter Joseph Samuelson @arteterraincognita along the mantel. Surrounded by a small arrangement of books and collected objects, the piece anchors the vignette. Everything else is in conversation with it.
