reflecting on the past year, and the moments shared creating were ones for the books

to find myself in a studio again, creating with like-minded people, judgment free

not to be sappy, but rediscovering what i love most awoke something within myself i forgot i had

creating has always been something i can’t escape, and to reconnect with painting as a medium felt like a breath of fresh air. to bring thoughts, ideas, visions, to life, to watch them transform, from sucking, to then be kinda good, to suck again, to finally being something i don’t mind looking at, and to never be finished (did i mention im an aries)

a process i know all too well, but had forgotten.

finding my way back to a past self who spent hours in the basement or on his bedroom floor painting, every day, like it was the only thing he wanted to do. to spending endless nights in the studio after hours working on assignments, to now once again be creating, this time, just for the sake of creating.

and while i still may not fully know what, why, or how i am trying to say something, i am excited to see where it will take me

this year was hard, but these shared moments will forever shine bright in my memories.

here’s to 2026 and continuing creating, collaborating, commingling, and making good, bad, beautiful, and everything else in between.

once a studio rat, always a studio rat 🖤
