Here’s my simple five step process for collecting points and miles and redeeming them for flights.

I think a lot of people overcomplicate this stuff and that scares people away from taking advantage of these cards. If you pay your bill off each month, having a points earning card is a no brainer. I’ve saved so much money using points for flight and hotels.

And, while bloggers and website talk about this system and that system and moving points from X to Y to Z to get a little bit of extra value, 99.99% of people don’t need to do that.

Heck, I don’t always do that because I don’t want to spend hours on this to get 1% extra savings.

Points are there to save you time and money.

So here’s my simple process to follow because I don’t think this stuff should be complicated!

A meditative day hiking and seeing fall foliage! It was a bit cloudy but, honestly, that gave the hike moody fall vibes and I loved it!

September snaps! My first full month back in NYC saw me move into an apartment, hit the gym again, see lots of friends, attend a conference, see some art, head back to Paris for a beach, and witness the greatest sunset NYC has ever seen (last slide!).

Back after a little hiatus….

September has been a crazy month. Finding and furnishing an apartment this month sucked up a lot more time than I thought it would. (Plus, I had to go back to Paris for to get the last of my stuff.)

But I have an apartment, I finally have a bed, and the last of my major pieces of furniture come this week. I still need a few lamps, a bookcase, plants, and have to go get my art from storage but I’m mostly moved in and can finally start enjoying the city again rather than racing around doing errands all day. (I did manage to get haircut though. What do you all think?)

Fall is my favorite time of year so I’m happy to have the big stuff done!

I haven’t worked on my book or blog in two weeks and I’m really eager to get the 2nd draft of my book complete and offer to friends to for edits so I will be furiously working on that this week to catch up. (And I have barely worked out this month and it’s starting to show.)

But I’ll be going around NYC, getting pics / content, and sharing travel advice soon enough! Honestly, I kind of missed being on IG and I look forward to posting again!
