Drum kits are amazing.

Carrying them is not.

So I designed a compact percussion setup that gives the feeling of a drum kit using a single djembe. :
1 drum head for the kick bass and the snare

Lightweight, portable, modular, and fast to set up.

One year ago, I had nothing but an idea and a rough prototype.
I spent the year building, testing, failing, improving…

🔧 prototyped again and again

📄 wrote and filed a patent

🥁 gave it to musicians to see what it was truly capable of

🛠️ refined the design into a real product

Now, it’s ready, im sending my first orders !

The Nomadrum Voyageur is a premium modular percussion system designed to transform most 12” to 14” djembes into a compact and portable drum setup.

Designed for musicians looking for the closest feel to a traditional drum kit while keeping their setup compact, the Voyageur Standard features a lightweight hi-hat stand mounted directly onto the hoop.

With its pedal-operated hi-hat, kick bass, snare effect, cymbals, and percussion modules built around a single drumhead, it delivers a familiar and natural playing experience without the weight and complexity of traditional drum hardware.

They say it’s compact, portable, and you can play anywhere. I had to test that myself. taken in Baleal, Peniche, Portugal by @nomadrum

What started as a simple prototype in my garage has evolved into a fully developed portable drum kit and modular percussion system.

The Nomadrum kit combines a djembe, kick, snare, hi hat and additional percussion in a compact and portable setup designed for musicians who want a full drum sound without carrying a full drum kit.

After months of prototyping, testing and improving the design, the Nomadrum kit is now available with different configurations including Lite Hi Hat, Standard Hi Hat and Remote Hi Hat.

Built for drummers, percussionists, musicians, outdoor projects, travel, small studios and anyone looking for a lightweight portable drum kit.

This version of the kit was designed for musicians who want to do more with less movement.

Mounted on a snare drum, it opens new possibilities for percussionists, multi-instrumentalists, and musicians with reduced mobility or limb differences.

It can be played with hands, sticks, pedals, or combined with another instrument — for example, guitar players adding percussion with their feet while playing.

The goal is simple: make rhythm more accessible, modular, and adaptable to different ways of making music.

Every musician plays differently. This kit is built for that. by @nomadrum

Is there a better place to play music?

This professional drummer @daniel_kinde is sharing some grooves and spontaneous thoughts about the Nomadrum percussion kit.

It’s a piece of hardware that goes on top of a djembe and gives you the feeling of playing a drum kit, but everything is different.

The setup, the sounds, the way you play. It opens up a completely different approach to percussion. by @nomadrum
