Very excited to announce that we will be showcasing our drinks at the expo, specifically the @risingtidefestival @newquay_orchard. Come along and have a chat and taste a few things, including our EXCLUSIVE NEW RELEASE for the festival. More on that soon...

Please check out the relevant pages for more info on the events but there will be exhibitors for surf and skate brands, talks from industry experts and even film screenings and DJs. The weather is looking lovely so come on down and show some love for the surf and skate community.

I WENT TO LONDON AND ALL I GOT WERE THESE LOUSY PHOTOS.

Quick overnight stop for a day job event (hit me up if you need an acoustic consultant) and I saw a few fun things. Not pictured was an excellent filter coffee from @highgrade.coffee and several hot, crowded, delayed trains.

Farmhouse brewing, minimal intervention, tradition meets innovation… @coldframebeer may be the most exciting drinks project in the UK right now.

We visited Simon at their new brewery near St Austell to see the ongoing development of the site. They will employ innovative techniques to minimise waste and energy use, growing most of what they will need on the land, and even forgo the malting process to use raw barley as their main source of fermentable sugars. Ground breaking techniques and a true expression of ‘terroir’ in beer.

See here the timber structure where the brewery will live, greenhouses where the hops will grow, and fields where regenerative barley will thrive.

There are very exciting plans for wild and mixed fermentation beers down the line too. Go and check them out online and find out more about what they have in store. I really believe this project will be a game changer for the industry.

REACHING FOR A NONAL THIS WEEKEND?

Hello, strangers… been a while. I’ve been pretty quiet on here and whilst I’d love to say I’ve been super busy planning world domination that would be a lie. The winter SAD has been hitting hard which has impacted motivation, but we’re back on the horse now with the first brew in the books earlier this week.

More activities to kick start the year (yes I know it’s late feb):
- Prepping for our first market next month @nancarrowfarm
- Learning planet-conscious sales and marketing techniques with @wildwineschool & @good_drinks_co
- Fun photo shoot with @beersargent 💅
- Recipe development 🍋‍🟩 💨 🌶️

The goal is to feature me in posts and on here a little more often. I am the sole member of staff here at NONAL and do everything from brewing and blending to cleaning and admin. I will do a little intro post another time but here I am in some portrait/promo shots taken by @beersargent @agweres. Now you can put a face to the product 😊

And just like that, summer is gone.

And with it goes our summer seasonal. The strawberry and rose drink was a big hit with you all, but the availability of great strawberries is dwindling as autumn takes hold. And sometimes the fleeting nature of something is what makes it exciting, isn’t it?

But fear not, we have a new seasonal on the way. Exactly when? I can’t say, but it’ll be a tasty one.

Bit of a different post today…

Lovely views from runs I’ve done recently, whilst training for a big one at the end of the month. Listen out for the @runna app shouting at me to run faster. Thanks, coach 👍

I am running the @lochnessmarathon on the 28th for @macmillancancer. It’s a disease that has appeared in my life far too often and the work that MacMillan do is invaluable to help those going through the toughest of times.
