Today is Human Rights Day — a time to honour the universal values of dignity, freedom, and justice for everyone. The knotted gun, a global symbol of non-violence, reminds us that peace starts with action.

On this day, we reflect on the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948, a powerful reminder that human rights are the cornerstone of peace and equality.

The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy. Let us teach our young people to stand for peace, to stand for nonviolence, and to actively strive for a world where conflicts can be resolved through understanding and dialogue. Last month we announced our multi-year partnership with @re.capital, in collaboration with ex-footballer, Luis Figo, in Lisbon, Portugal.

Our mission has always been to engage and motivate and educate people on the topic of non-violence. Diverse topics where they've had to do with gun violence or sexual harassment and mental abuse.

As our first real estate partner, the first entry point of unveiling the knotted gun in Portugal and Lisbon, we have opened the door to growth ambitions that RE Capital has in terms of an international approach in the UK, Geneva, Lisbon, and elsewhere.

Instagram's algorithm is designed to at first shadowban accounts with fake followers and ultimately, shut them down.

Today is the International Day of Peace.

The @unitednations General Assembly declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, through observing 24 hours of non-violence and cease-fire.

“But achieving true peace entails much more than laying down arms. It requires the building of societies where all members feel that they can flourish. It involves creating a world in which people are treated equally, regardless of their race.”

Since 1993, we have strived to inspire, motivate and engage people to prevent and reduce violence, focused on educational programs and awareness campaigns to promote social change.

The @unitednations’ Secretary-General, @antonioguterres has called for a four-day humanitarian pause during Orthodox Holy Week – starting today.

“The four-day Easter period should be a moment to unite around saving lives and furthering dialogue to end the suffering in Ukraine.”

The Non-Violence symbol served as the background during this appeal for peace – a symbol we hope will open more productive dialogue in our pursuit for peace across the world.

At Non-Violence we stand for tolerance, creativity and diversity of thought.

Someone we believe embodies all of these is @anjlishah.author… As a writer, she creates stories and scenes that take the reader to somewhere new and unexpected.

Anjli was born in Kenya and later moved to the UK. She is a computer scientist turned author, where she writes books in her home in London. She is passionate about encouraging and inspiring children to be creative, to follow their curiosity, and explore big ideas. When she's not writing, she's taking care of her two children, cooking, dreaming of far-off lands or hanging out on her yoga mat – sometimes all at the same time!
