Ok having 3 instax pics on my grid is kinda funny but it my birthday today so who cares! I am 32! I am grateful to be alive because I am INCREDIBLY self aware that one day I won’t be.

Many people already know that every year for my birthday I do a fundraiser. Since the genocide began in Gaza in 2023, I’ve shifted to fundraising for the loved ones of people I know. Though there’s a so called ceasefire, Palestinians in Gaza and across Palestine are being murdered every single day by Israelis and U.S. made bombs. The people in Gaza haven’t had things like fully functioning schools, hospitals, bathrooms, etc for the last three years, and it’s incredibly difficult to begin to rebuild when the blockades and bombs continue.

For my birthday this year, I would be so grateful if people donated to the fundraisers linked in my bio, as they’re the loved ones of my friends Rania and Noor. Dana’s family was rescued from under the rubble, and has struggled to get donations. Asma’s three daughters just started school recently for the first time in three years. Any amount you can give makes a direct impact on the lives of these steadfast families surviving a genocide.

My goal is to raise $1,000 for each family - which is something we were able to achieve last year due to peoples’ generosity. If you can’t donate directly you can send a donation to my Venmo @ ArabNaruto

Thank you! I love you all. by @normalarabgirl

We took a roadtrip to New Jersey and I saw the ocean for the first time and we also stopped at the Heinz museum and @americantreasuretour in Pennsylvania and I think looking at all the kind of freaky and amazing and incredible animatronics was maybe the happiest my friends have ever seen me. Thank you to the tour guide who saw how excited all of us were and went slow and played the Chuck E Cheese animatronics for us twice, I would die for you 🙏🏻 and also I love my friends and I love neon and cool signs ❤️

Alhamduallah for everything I’m going to actually take more than three days off a year now they were right when they said it Helps 🙂‍↕️ by @normalarabgirl

Today is my birthday and I feel very grateful to be alive and I hope whoever reads this reads it all so you can see my fundraising ask lmfao 💓

Many people know that my world revolves around organizing and that I’ve dedicated my life to this work and being a member of @uspcn. I have met the most amazing people that have changed my life and made me who I am today. The last two years have been incredibly difficult, and with talks of a ceasefire the people of Gaza need us now more than ever.

That’s why, like last year, this year I’ll be raising funds for my birthday for my dear friends’ family and friends in Gaza. Throughout the month of October I’ll be raffling off pottery items I’ve made - this weekend I’ll be spending some time taking some photos of stuff I’ve made so I can share and the raffles can begin next week. I’ll also be accepting direct donations to my venmo at @/ArabNaruto, and you can donate to both of their pages directly through the links in my bio (but lmk if you do because I’m keeping track!!)

I am hoping to raise around $1,000 for each family. From the bottom of my heart that is all I want - no gifts. I know together we can raise that much. I’ll be keeping people updated as the month goes by.

Thanks for reading❣️ If you can’t donate I am will accept a personalized video cussing out a cop, zionist , or ICE agent for my bday. 🙂‍↕️

Sorry my voice sounds insane in this lmao this was a terrible year but this action (done with @uspcn, @palestinianyouthmovement, @codepinkalert, @palestinianfeministcollective, and individual organizers) is a highlight and one of the things I’m most proud of.

Hillary Clinton is a Zionist and a war criminal with an extensive history of venomously hating and harming Arabs in America and globally. Tammy Duckworth has told our community members in private convos she would never stop supporting Israel and has stopped answering calls from constituents, who are largely Palestinian, Arab, and/or anti-Zionist, after Oct 7th, 2023. With well over 100,000 Palestinians dead and countless missing, politicians like Clinton and Duckworth who actively support and fund the Zionist, genocidal, so called state of Israel deserve to be targeted and confronted every time they step outside of their homes. It is the bare minimum of what we can do for the people in Gaza and all of occupied Palestine.

Zionists are losing. Through all the destruction and death this year, that has been clear. The steadfastness and resilience of the people in Gaza and all of Palestine has been a spit in the face to the Zionist entity. Lots of people in America talk abt losing hope. To become hopeless while living in the belly of the beast is a symptom of a society that prioritizes individualism and capitalism. We have a DUTY and obligation to fight back against Zionism in all its forms - from talking to your Zionist family members, to boycotting, to disruptions that make a material impact. By doing that, we build community w one another.

Inshallah 2025 brings more chances to collaborate w one another to make Zionist’s lives hell. Inshallah in our lifetime we see a free Palestine and an Arab world free from U.S. imperialism and Western intervention. by @normalarabgirl

One year ago today, the Palestinian resistance launched operation Al-Aqsa flood and did the unthinkable. With less resources and ten times the amount of barriers, the resistance was able to break through the apartheid wall, freeing themselves of the open air prison they had been living in for decades. The success of the mission re-ignited the movement for a free Palestine and showed the world that a people under occupation only become stronger and more strategic as time goes on, unwavering in their commitment to their liberation and their land.

Facing a humiliating defeat, the Zionist entity began their 12 month bombardment of Gaza, murdering and displacing millions of Palestinians not only in Gaza but all of occupied Palestine. Israel has also targeted Yemen, Lebanon, and Syria - furthering their imperial violence against the Arab world. This has all been done with the help of Western powers, including Genocide Joe Biden and his partner in murder, Kamala Harris, who have shown time and time again they are committed only to capitalism and death.

I know what a body looks like after it’s been run over by a bulldozer now. I know what burned baby looks like. I know what it looks like when a bomb hits a home and a child’s body is splattered on the walls. What a bag of rice looks like when it’s filled with human remains. But also the thing is - I don’t really know what any of that looks like. Whatever I see on my computer screen doesn’t compare to the reality of seeing these things in person, every single day, for the last 365 days in a row.

In the last year, through the death and destruction, we’ve also seen the movement for Palestinian liberation grow globally. All over the world people have protested, confronted their governments, boycotted corporations, and taken part in direct actions to stand against the Zionist entity. This is only possible due to the resilience of the people in Gaza.

It has been over 300 days of Israel’s U.S. backed genocide of the Palestinian people. Tens of thousands are dead, hundreds of thousands trapped under the rubble, all while Americans clap and cheer for the next anti-Arab, anti-Palestinian, genocidal president. Democrats have become so self absorbed, so purposely dense, that they call us one issue voters for caring about a genocide. How dare they say that when they’re the absolute morons that believe politicians when they beg for four more years to make so called positive change. They are lying - these same politicians continue to strip us of our rights and send thousands and thousands of our tax dollars to Israel every year. Who has become safer under a Biden presidency? Because I know for a fact it’s not queer people, it’s not Arab people, it’s not women, it’s not immigrants and refugees, it’s not Black people.

Police violence continues to increase as well, with Sonya Massey being shot in the face by a police officer and murdered in Illinois, in Springfield. Sonya Massey’s murder by killer cops is linked to the murder of Palestinians by Israelis. The same system is killing us globally. There are police training programs all over the country that partner with Israel and train with IOF soldiers because when you get down to it they’re the same - they are violent white supremacists, they are rapists, they are foot soldiers for the empire that have forfeited their humanity in an effort to gain power.

Encampments for Gaza at Northwestern, Depaul, and U Chicago. I feel really honored to be a part of this moment and watch and help students learn and grow. Supporting Palestine is common now - but as an Arab growing up here I cannot stress how new this is in America. We are in a time unlike any other. And because I am dedicated to the movement, I am dedicated to the political growth of these brave students. Students and those of us helping at these encampments are under the enormous pressure of knowing every single decision made will have a historical AND current day impact on our movement and our people. I urge people to treat student organizers not with distrust but with kindness, care, and respect, and not just when we experience huge wins, but especially when we experience losses. And I say we because the student movement is intertwined with the larger liberation movement. All of this is so much bigger than our own personal feelings and the nitty gritty internal politics of it all. This is about Gaza. This is about Palestine. We must not lose sight of that. by @normalarabgirl
