🗣️ Calling all trash chess players!!

♟️ Bring your blunders (or your brilliants), we’re raising money for our beloved McCarren Park in partnership with @cleanmccarren!

♻️ We have a goal of $1,400 so we can buy a new trash can to keep our park clean, beautiful and a community hub for all.

📆 Join us Thursday, October 22nd from 7pm onward for a free benefit comedy show and casual chess. Seating is limited so bring a chair or blanket to guarantee a spot. RSVP using the link in bio!

A little local support can open big doors for our kids.

We’re inviting neighborhood businesses to sponsor PS31 Community Chess Night, donate a prize, or come join the fun. It’s a lovely way to connect with PS31 families and support our young players.

And for anyone who loves a challenge—think you can beat our young champions? $5 gets you a game!

Join us for open play, games, raffles, and friendly competition—all supporting more coaching and tournament opportunities for the children.

Bring your kids, bring a friend, and take a seat. When we help our youngest neighbors grow, our whole community grows with them.

Special thanks to our hosts @miasbakerybk 💖

Your favorite Thursday feeling 🤍

We are keeping it classic this week with the return of our favorite format: vibey, social chess + challenger’s corner.

This week we’re bringing back Challenger FM Will Graif aka @thegambitman. Will is offering 2000 elo+ blitz and bullet games, 1:1 bite-sized lessons for all skill levels or individual game reviews.

Advanced RSVP is encouraged via the link in bio. Tix always available at the door. Doors open at 7pm. $10
