Dejarse y caer

"El cuerpo que entiende que no todo depende de su voluntad, el cuerpo que se deja mover por la fuerza de la gravedad, es un cuerpo entregado al movimiento.
Bailar es, en definitiva, dejarse caer, es la combinación de estas dos ideas («dejarse» у «саer»). En medio de la caída está la danza."

Cómo poner en palabras lo que se vive en una práctica de danzas en el agua?
Todo lo que se disuelve, lo que se limpia, las partes de nosotros que se vuelven claras, lo que nos permitimos soltar, la luces y las sombras que aparecen, lo que abrazamos de nosotras mismas y de este mundo.

Every full and new moon, our community gathers for water dances, moving in harmony with the tides and the ocean’s rhythm. Join a movement that celebrates unity, nature, and the spirit of Guiones Sur.

These are guided movement explorations that follow Contact Improvisation practices guidelines, encouraging respect and compassion.

These are movement guided experiences, combining improv dance, connection, and embodied movement.

We are meeting around Full and New moon days, going with the flow of the tides.

January new moon journey:

Join us this Sunday, 18th, and Tuesday 20th at 8am. The meeting point is Guiones Sur tide pools (ask me for the pin location)
You can participate one day or both, feel free!

No experience or dance skills are needed. Come with an open mind and a willingness to explore and play, but also to surrender

January Full Moon 🌕

Water has long been associated with healing and energy across cultures, and here in Nosara, with the embrace of the Pacific Ocean, we have a unique chance to forge a special connection with this element.

You’ll be guided through various dynamics to harmonize with the group in a supportive, gentle environment that encourages softness and enjoyment.

Our Aquatic Dances follow agreements similar to Contact Improvisation practices, creating a respectful and compassionate space.

Join us on:
- Friday 2nd at 8 am
- Sunday 4th at 8 am (perfectly timed for Ecstatic Dance enthusiasts)
📌 Garza Beach tide pools - closest beach entrance to Estrellitas Café

No prior dance or swimming skills are necessary!

Just bring a towel, a comfortable bathing suit, a water bottle, your curiosity to move, and an open mind.

It was through @wholehuman.life and Adventure Nosara that I get to know about Mitch's projects, @thebennettmethod and his work in the water, and a few months later, we are hosting a sweet journey together, into the depths.

Come join us this Saturday 27th at 12md for a three hour workshop at Garza.

Trust me, it´s good for your soul in a way I cannot explain. But if you have the luck to be around Nosara these days, take the chance to bring new and fresh vibes to yourself. Take it as a Christmas special gift for you and your friends.

What to expect?
You will be guided through different dynamics to connect with the flow of the group in a supportive environment, using gentle touch and encouraging softness and pleasure.

Aquatic Dances are set on similar agreements to Contact Improvisation practices, in a respectful and compassionate container.

Twice a month, on the days around New Moon and Full Moon, we will be gathering to explore underwater movement at the stunning tide pools of Guiones Sur.

This is the time to get together under the last new moon of the year, and we´ll do it twice:
Friday 19th - 8 am and
Sunday 21th - 8 am (Ecstatic Dance time friendly) at Guiones Sur tide pools

No experience, dance, or swimming skills needed.
Bring a towel, a comfortable bathing suit, a water bottle, your curiosity to move, and an open mind.
