hello, hello

next month, i will be holding two screenings, one of which will include the premiere of my film, “rapture.” the following day, i am to be joined by fellow filmmakers and friends:

autumn jackson (@autumnn_jackson)
munyang tengen (@yinyangmunyang)
shemaya bridgewater (@shem_saffi) &
zion murphy (@zionbinetmurphy)

we gather to share and celebrate our work, and interrogate our positions in it as african peoples, as we imagine and mobilize toward our collective liberation—whatever that might mean for each of us.

premiere - 10/03 | 6pm, screening starts at 7pm📍 baltimore, md - the black genius art show
(106 north eutaw street, baltimore, md 21201)

collective screening - 10/04 | 2pm📍 washington, d.c. - the martin luther king, jr. memorial library
(901 g street nw #215, washington, d.c. 20001)

seriously can’t thank everyone who assisted me in this process enough. can’t wait for you to enjoy.

“What if you…”
“What if you…”
“What if you…”

...took that chance?
…tried something new?

What if you leapt beyond all that you’ve ever known? What would await you on the other side?

“Rapture” follows Anya, a young woman who is discontented with the monotony of her daily life. She encounters a mysterious stranger, who introduces her to a spiritual awakening.

Premiering this Fall is “Rapture,” directed by Uchenna Umegbolu.
