bhm dump - alhamdulillah for the black creatives. honestly, how much culture are we responsible for? how many trends and viral moments? how much lingo and subtle social interactions have we become the curators of?

@movelikemel thank you for the opportunity to be apart of a something bigger than just us, a message I’ll be proud to pass down to my daughter in the hopes it inspires not just ours, but generations to come

@mya.solar.coba thanks for all the convos we had on set, and how organized you kept everything. having a strong black woman in charge truthfully set my mind at ease, a reminder of the mothers that built civilizations on their backs despite the odds

@rob.thereaper thank you for a genuine bond forged between two men that chose to be themselves and not live in a bubble, one I hope will only flourish

@tobialiyah thank you for helping me connect a lot of dots to form a picture I’ll never lose sight of, power to the ones with gifts and inshallah we step into our roles gracefully

and thank you to anyone I missed, too many great convos to recap and I’d be typing for hours, but what’s understood doesn’t have to be expressed!

oh, and it’s still f*ck epst*in and all his homies.

Spent the last week on @ghostthehuman ‘s thesis set. Just wanted to say how grateful I am to have this incredible community and friendships with my film friends at Howard University. I know these are people I will be friends with for life, and I don’t take that lightly. Amazing work done by incredible creatives that always inspire me. I love you all, and as always, thank you for having me ❤️
