Design is not all-or-nothing.

Nothing Unwanted offers a la carte interior design services — modular, focused, and built for renters, small businesses, and anyone shaping space with intention.

A few examples from the menu:

Spatial Study
Lighting Plan
Procurement List
Small Business Merchandising (for pop-ups and markets)

Each service stands alone. Combine them and you build a layered transformation. No bloated contracts. No unnecessary scope. Just clear, architectural thinking scaled to your real life.

These are examples, not limits. If you’re reworking a studio apartment, refining a storefront, or upgrading the details that get touched every day, there’s a way to approach it with precision.

Small footprint. Big presence.
Migration is inevitable. Homemaking is intentional.

Gratitude sits in the palms of our hands today. 🤲🏿

Thank you to the first 100 people who chose to stand with our studio. Your support shaped these early steps and gave this work its first breath.

The first $100 dollars in sales we generated was donated to the Pennsylvania Black Panther Party @bpppennsylvaniachapter . Their commitment to protecting and investing in Black spaces aligns with our mission and our Afrofuturist practice. We look forward to seeing their community center open and wish them strength as they build.

Thank you to everyone so far that has given a kind word, actionable feedback, or a vote of confidence in these weird ideas. Know that your gestures feed the continuity we stand on.

New personal record. Worked a bag today.

FIELD GUIDE 05: FECUNDITY AT THE FLOWER SHOW

The metal remembers.

Observed in the wild at the Philadelphia Flower Show. Surrounded by rare blooms, staged landscapes and thousands of passing hands, Fecundity became part vessel, part specimen. This montage documents the portable heirloom in motion. Light moving across brushed steel. Fresh stems finding temporary shelter. People slowing down long enough to look closely.

Originally developed as a response to impermanence in the home, Fecundity was designed for lives in transition. An object meant to migrate with you. Durable enough to outlast the apartment it occupies. Quiet enough to belong anywhere.

Field notes:
Material memory responds well to changing light conditions.
Fresh cut stems remain central to the ritual.
Public interaction suggests an enduring human instinct to gather around living things.

Grateful for this season of exploration, from failures to flowers.

More vessels, more witness.

Field Guide 03
Specimen: Fecundity Vase
Habitat: Ulises

Observed during a collage and kiki hosted by @home.__bodies . The space fills with fragments, images in motion, hands assembling meaning in real time.

The vessel moves easily through it. Fixed to a sign, then resting against books, then absorbed into the language of collage itself. It does not compete with the work. It joins it.

Flowers here are cut, placed, rearranged. So is everything else. The vase simply holds that gesture in place.

Field Guide No. 2

Specimen: A pair of roses.
Habitat: where love is lost, where love is found.

Two roses, long past their ceremonial peak, persist in the wilds of North Philadelphia. Their petals have moved from velvet to parchment. Their stems lean but do not collapse. Evidence of former celebration now operating in a different mode: endurance.

The vessel holding them is small and unassuming. A quiet prosthetic for the built environment. It attaches itself to gates, posts, and stray bits of city infrastructure the way lichens colonize rock. Wherever a surface exists, life attempts an occupation.
