These were my Valentine’s roses 🥀

➡️ instead of throwing them away, I turned them into a keepsake.

Styled in the Fecundity Vase by @nothingunwanted.studio a Black-owned design studio based in Philadelphia, handcrafted from reclaimed steel and made to last.

It’s not just decor ➡️ it’s a styling tool 🌸

had a magnificent day shooting the beautiful fecundity vase✨

designed and made by the amazing @winteriorss @nothingunwanted.studio

Winter designs and creates pieces they best describe as “future heirlooms” … the minute I heard their story, I was obsessed! They create lots of different unique and functional pieces, made from sustainable materials, that are renter friendly and easily passed along to loved ones over time.

not only is the concept everything I love and adore, but Winter is super sick and a lovely creative mind to work and chat alongside! you should support them however you can😎 - but I specifically love this vase because of the unique design built to hold bouquets of all sizes upright or hanging upside down via the removable magnetic hook! ✨

We’re hosting an art show at our home base @triplebottombrewing! Curated in honor of Black History Month and in conjunction with our By Any Means Art fest on Sunday, Feb 22, we collaborated with 11 artists to remind people about the importance of celebrating Black joy, expression, and culture. All works are available for viewing starting this Saturday and till the end of the month. Swing by TB when they’re open, snag a pic, and let us know how you enjoyed the show! We’ll gather on Sunday, Feb 22 to celebrate together. Here’s to celebrating Black Artists by any means.

Meet Winter Scarlett, the visionary behind Nothing Unwanted. Winter’s work is an exploration of Afrofuturism, Black culture, and sustainability, manifested in "portable heirlooms" for the modern renter.

From decorative wall plates to custom hardware, they create pieces that honor the client’s identity and move with them, regardless of property status. They draw inspiration for their wall plates with specific aesthetic cues taken from the spiritual jazz legacies of artists like Alice Coltrane and Sun Ra.

As an Artisan Accelerator student, Winter is utilizing the diverse tools at NextFab to bridge the gap between big-picture concepts and the technical production of intentional home goods.

#phillycommunity We feel that one of the most beautiful things about participating in markets is the way connections are born and last over time — not only between makers, but also with the people who stop by our tables. ✨Seeing old friends visit, bump into other friends, and meet new ones is magical.❤️‍🔥 And connecting with returning customers, with those who share their stories, or with people discovering our work for the first time, makes everything even more meaningful.⚡

Building new bonds gives a special meaning to growing in community. There’s no competition here — there’s comm-UNITY, camaraderie, and that should always be our goal. 🫂🧠🫀

We’re incredibly grateful to have shared space with so many creative minds 🤯 and to see the community support its own. ☺️

Thank you @nextfab_phl for bringing us together.

Here are some @ to check out and follow today.
This holiday season, please support local, small; support yours.
