15 x 50ks in the books. And this was easily the hardest one so far. (Sometimes the bad races are the ones you’re most proud of.) I NEVER hit a wall as bad as I did today. I don’t think I knew what a wall was before this. Happy birthday to my person!!!
John, since we met, there have been nothing but signs pointing me to you. I mean, a tree fell on my house and my car got stuck in the driveway, you drove over an hour in the snowstorm late at night to come shovel me out. That’s just who you are- selfless and reliable.

The last year we have been together has given me more happiness, growth, and inspiration I’ve ever dreamed possible.
I can truly say I never knew love before you. You are patient. You understand me. You listen to me. You make me better. What we have is more than romance, you are the best friend I’ve ever had. I love your loyalty, your passion for your work, your love to help others and make people smile. You make me feel valued every single day. Thank you for letting me be myself, even when it’s messy and complicated. You let me take up space. I am so appreciative for every time you have walked by my side and protected my heart.
