Took a ride.
Thought I would try to hunt morels.
I tried a new spot, along a small creek.
I found one but it was well past its prime.
After crawling through brush and collecting more stickers and burrs than I can count, I decided to move on.
On my hike back, I unexpectedly stumbled upon a pictograph and was pretty excited about this find.
Like so many others, it's not protected and will be lost to time.
I found a few skulls too.
Eventually I moved along to another location and found some wild chickens on a dirt road and stole some of their eggs.
Turns out there were a few morels not far from the hens.
So supper tonight are wild morels and wild chicken eggs!
You just never know how life is going to gift you some fun treats!
Now to check myself for ticks.

This year has made me thankful and appreciative for many things in my life. One of those things is a little lady who asks me “can I come too?” instead of “when will you be home?”.

Fall on the mighty Missouri has a rhythm all its own. Cool mornings give way to golden afternoons, and the river slows just enough to remind us why we love this place.

Missing this place and all its people today on their last day before they close their doors forever. If you're in Pittsburgh, tonight's your last night to check out why @theclimbingwall stayed open so long while 3 new gyms came to the area. Thanks to everyone who helped teach me to climb, set, and climb my routes! 🤙🏽🤘🧗‍♀️
