Hello fellow health pursuers,

See a couple new followers, so just wanted to reintroduce myself.

I've been a nurse for 10 years and am completing my acute care NP degrees this December.

I went into functional medicine because it revolutionized my life in 2024. I am thankful God opened up the doors for me to open up my own clinic and share that healing with others.

I work with my clients and their providers to develop a truly comprehensive plan, not just a list of supplements, that fits their health goals and addresses root cause factors for real symptom solution, not suppression.

But beyond me as the practitioner...I'm a human being. A mom. A wife. A sinner saved by grace. A nurse that believes in traditional medicine AND holistic/functional medicine.

I love sushi, classical music, and Christian K Pop (it exists!). And I love healing -- real, inside out healing.

What about you?

In pursuit of health,

@dani_jello_moreno i am wearing @americaneagle forever.

Hello everyone 🌿 when i'm not working i'm cleaning my house, making 90% of my food at home, and hanging out at the splash pad that is 100% sulfur spring fed (*swoon*).

I love all things health, but my passion now is working with adults with chronic conditions (autoimmune, cardiovascular, metabolic) and reversing their symptoms while @hybrid_zo builds up their strength and functional fitness for optimal mobility in their longevity.

I love what i do! I am extremely grateful to @dr.lauren.dnp for her inspiration and education. Grateful for my friends and family who support me as i build this business from literally nothing. Grateful to God for His promise to sustain me as I fulfill His calling in my life.

So if you have a health concern or just want to support me as i grow, head on over to @oliverhealthandwellness and give me a follow. I want to reach as many people with tangible ways we can improve our health. taken in Green Cove Springs Park by @notsoemoazn

I made dumplings!

Pork definitely would have been better but I had beef and plenty of green onion from my garden.

I froze some leftovers for a future meal.

The kids didn't like it as much as I had hoped but ate it without complaint

My dumpling form is an F- but I am working on it.

Happy eating

You can start growing your own stuff easily. Even if you have a small backyard or no backyard. Herbs in pots. Vegetables in planters. @musicalcharms garden was literally an old dresser with the drawers removed as additional containers (genius). I expect to have a healthy yield of zucchini and okra! Worried the watermelon won't last but looks healthy right now. Super excited for more dill for homemade tatziki. I should have grown the cucumber....my spinach and marigold haven't sprouted yet :(

These were all from seed, the dill and basil grew back from last year's crop, and the tomatoes were free at the fair!

I bought 4 bags of organic soil soil maybe 3 years ago at $8-$9 a bag, the planters were $40-60 each (some sale was going on). Maybe $300 total? Seeds were gifts.

Hoping to make a return on that investment this year! And next year hopefully my composting pile will have yielded some nice soil to add...

Happy planting 🌿 by @notsoemoazn

The band broke. I got scared. It was recorded. Enjoy.

I wanted to freaking find this funny sound clip to go with this but I'm not relevant anymore so I don't care.

Yes, I am laying down on the floor in the dark. Yes, this has been bothering me for a while. Yes, if you're not comfortable placing your handheld directly on your skin, then don't 🤷‍♀️. No, I don't wear protective eye gear because it doesn't make sense if you have a high quality device and the red light is supposed to improve mitochondrial health for the cells amongst other things then why not the cells in the eye? Wear goggles if you hate it. I ain't tellin' NOBODY to do something they don't wanna do (except my kids. I tell them to do stuff they don't wanna do all the time. Mom privilege)

Red light works. Place directly on skin so it can work better.

My backyard is pretty small, but i have a couple big planters and I want to do herbs/medicinal plants/some veggies this year. My parents have been equipment free composting for a while, and i usually have been tossing my veggie/fruit scraps into my firepit (out of which literally anything grows....i got cabbage one year, watermelon, a high yield tomato plant...it's been full of surprises). I looked up proper composting and it doesn't seem terrible. Best of all, with the pit method, it's free! Here's the method:

1: get a bin close to your kitchen to easily collect scraps. No meat or bones, apparently...idk, i might still do it. I don't care if there is a racoon in my yard at night.
2: dig a pit somewhere in your backyard. That's where you dump the scraps.
3: start collecting! (Veggie ends, peels, apple cores, egg shells, etc) and make sure to add dry bits as well (shredded paper works well...I'm sure everyone gets spam mail or stuff that has personal information. Shred and toss in there too).
4: every so often, you gotta mix the whole pile.
5: enjoy your (nutrient rich, God-given) dirt.

Hope it works! More on this as time progresses. Being a stay at home mom is fun HAHA.
