On 13th September 2026, researchers from our Chemistry CDT, University of Nottingham participated in the ‘Nottingham Green Festival’ at Nottingham Arboretum, Nottingham.

They had the opportunity to engage with the members of the public, explaining to the lay person the research they do in the university and how it will benefit the society in the coming future. Our researcher enjoyed the thoughtful discussions, challenging questions and enlightening the curious minds of the public.

We are thankful to the organising committee of the @nottmgreenfest event and @sallylongford - the host of the ‘Knowledge Tent’ for giving our researchers the amazing opportunity. Big congratulation to Adeifeoluwa Jolaosho, James Brett, Sophie Shearlaw, Schubert Fernandes and Mathew Wheatley for taking the time to speak to the members of public.

We had a great day at @nottmgreenfest on Sunday, informing attendees about the achievements of the Cuban revolution and how we can support Cuba in their struggle against unprovoked US imperialist aggression. A huge thankyou to the organisers of @nottmgreenfest !

If you came to see us and want to know more, then send us a message here!

An incredible day was had on Sunday at @nottmgreenfest . 🌿🥁

I had the opportunity to deliver a family-friendly African drumming workshop and honestly, the amount of people that came and got involved completely blew my mind. It was so lovely seeing adults, children and families all drumming together, having a go, laughing and just enjoying being in the moment.

Nottingham Green Festival is a brilliant free, volunteer-led community event that celebrates ECO friendly choices, ethical living, creativity and bringing the community together. It was really lovely to be part of that atmosphere, enjoy the festival itself and contribute something creative to the day.

For Moments Within Rhythm, especially being such a new small business, opportunities like this mean a lot. It was great to get MWR out there, meet new people and share what we’re all about.

Thanks so much to everyone who came along, supported, joined in and brought such good energy to the workshop. I really appreciated every single person who took part.

Stay tuned, because there’s definitely more to come. 🧡💜🥁
