🗺️🦆🏹 NOTTS STRIKE MAP 🏹🦆🗺️

Workers at NET (Nottingham Express Transit) are preparing for 25 days of industrial action through their union @gmbmidlands . Workers have been fairly demanding a 4.1% pay rise during this cost of living crisis, while Tram bosses have only offered 3.3%... 📈

As Tram Bosses, return to the negotiation table today, we show our solidarity with the workers who keep the tram running! 🚊🚋✊

Workers have been forced to call strike action after being repeatedly ignored. Keolis the company that owns an 80% share in our trams is a megacorporation earning huge profits each year. It's time they paid their fair share! 🚎🚈

Solidarity with the workers! ✊🏹 Ducks Help Ducks!! 🦆🦆

🗺️🏹 NOTTS STRIKE MAP 🏹🗺️

Staff at the University of Nottingham are going on a 67 day strike to fight course closures and forced redundancies! ✊❤️

The university is making students and staff pay for their financial mismanagement (spending £80 million on an unusable campus) and we must stand together against their incoherent restructuring. 🔥

Show solidarity with striking staff by attending their picket from 8:30 - 11:30 tomorrow morning and make some noise at their rally at the Trent building at 12 - while university council attempts to vote for restructuring which will harm the university and our city irreversibly.

Solidarity with the workers ✊🔥❤️🏹

On 13th September 2026, researchers from our Chemistry CDT, University of Nottingham participated in the ‘Nottingham Green Festival’ at Nottingham Arboretum, Nottingham.

They had the opportunity to engage with the members of the public, explaining to the lay person the research they do in the university and how it will benefit the society in the coming future. Our researcher enjoyed the thoughtful discussions, challenging questions and enlightening the curious minds of the public.

We are thankful to the organising committee of the @nottmgreenfest event and @sallylongford - the host of the ‘Knowledge Tent’ for giving our researchers the amazing opportunity. Big congratulation to Adeifeoluwa Jolaosho, James Brett, Sophie Shearlaw, Schubert Fernandes and Mathew Wheatley for taking the time to speak to the members of public.

A festival powered by community, creativity and collective action 💚

Himmah was proud to join so many brilliant organisations at Nottingham Green Festival, a free, volunteer-led celebration rooted in sustainability, peace, environmental justice and human rights.

A huge shout-out to Manny, Indigo and the band for an incredible performance, and for championing Everybody Eats; an initiative using music, arts and culture to provide 100 weeks’ worth of food to Nottingham communities.

Every food donation matters, but foodbanks often receive an unpredictable mix of items that can make it difficult to create balanced, nutritious meals. Everybody Eats is helping people think differently about food support, showing that eating well on a limited budget doesn’t have to be complicated.

Follow @everybodyeats.here and support the journey.

Thank you to Nottingham Green Festival, its volunteers and everyone who helped create such a powerful day for our city. 💚

We had a great day at @nottmgreenfest on Sunday, informing attendees about the achievements of the Cuban revolution and how we can support Cuba in their struggle against unprovoked US imperialist aggression. A huge thankyou to the organisers of @nottmgreenfest !

If you came to see us and want to know more, then send us a message here!

Anansi's World at The Green Festival

My second posting from Sunday’s Green Festival @nottmgreenfest at the Arboretum in Nottingham.

This Anansi's World @anansi.world an Afro Punk band who were performing their first live gig.

The beautiful Victorian Band Stand was a great location for them and all Sunday's artists to showcase their talents

I’ve posted a couple of black and white images as I think it suits the genre of music. Best Wishes for your music careers Anansi's World , I hope you like the photos

Thank you to Acoutsickle @acoustickle_ for creating the bandstand line up.
