A huge good luck to the three girls competing at the Head of the Charles in Boston, USA this weekend.

Elise and Martha are competing in women's youth doubles this Sunday and Anja (entered as Notts Union) is competing in women's youth singles on Friday.

In addition, Martin Hyndman is in the masters 60+ veteran singles whilst living and training in the US.

Over the weekend we had three of our J17s participate in the DiSE (diploma in sporting excellence) rowing camp at Peterborough.

This was a great opportunity for our athletes to further extend their rowing knowledge whilst learning more about the theoretical side of rowing.

The girls had to apply and were selected to take part in this qualification. Well done Hannah, Martha and Ellie for being selected for this course.

Go Hannah, Martha and Ellie! Go County!

Another fun day of racing at Chester Long Distance Sculls, with the two out of two entries from Notts County taking the win.

Anja won Wj18 1x in which she also was the fastest junior women's single and second fastest women's single of the day. An impressive race after competing at Vesta Scullers Head the day before. Well done Anja!

Felix won county's second win of the day in the J17 1x Band 2.

A great day of racing on the River Thames in London at Vesta Scullers head with Elise winning the Wj16 1x for the second year in a row. An impressive feat, on top of this she was also the second fastest junior girl of the day.

A huge shout out to Anja who, with Elise got a pin for being in the top 50 fastest women overall.

Well done for all the athletes competing on the Tideway, with everyone rowing well on the famous tidal river. A special thank you to Paul and the coaching team for helping our athletes compete in events like Vesta Scullers Head.

🚣‍♀️ FUEL YOUR PERFORMANCE 🚣‍♂️

Training hard is only part of becoming a better rower. What you put in your body matters too. 💪

Your body needs fuel to:
⚡️ Power you through tough sessions
🧠 Keep you focused and switched on
💪 Support recovery and muscle growth
🔋 Keep your energy levels up throughout the day
🏆 Help you perform at your best

Don’t wait until you’re hungry to fuel. Regular meals, snacks and plenty of fluids help give your body what it needs before, during and after training.

Think of food as fuel, not something to fear. 🍌🥪🥛

A huge thank you to Katie for a fantastic and really informative talk at our Kick-Off Meeting, helping our juniors understand just how important good nutrition is for training, performance and recovery. 👏

Train hard. Fuel well. Recover. Repeat. 🔥
