With the official Burton Head race cancelled due to a site issue at the club, we were still able to put on a much smaller event on the day. Junior crews from Burton Leander, Trent & Notts County RA all competed over the short course in the 'Not Burton Head' Head. Crews gained valuable Head race experience, an unofficial 'official time', a certificate and some chocolate!

Well done to everyone who took part and thanks to all the volunteers who stepped up to make the event a success. Hopefully we'll see you all for the real thing next year!

🥈 JORR 2026 🥈

What’s a weekend of racing without a little bit of chaos… 😅 From an asthma attack mid-race to becoming one with a buoy, somehow still managed to come away with some silverware!

Lots to take away and build on from the weekend. A special thank you to Naomi for agreeing to a last-minute scratch crew in the women’s double — with just half an hour in the boat together beforehand, the rowing definitely looked like it was done from scratch, but we ended up smiling, which is what counts!
