What happens if we do it anyways?

There’s so much pressure on women to be perfect. To be beautiful but effortless, kind but strong, smart but humble, tidy but easy-going, agreeable but outspoken. To be everything, all at once.

What if we choose ourselves over perfection? Over other people’s expectations of us? What if we stop trying to meet every impossible standard and simply exist, mess and all?

The same choreography in two different worlds. The world of perfection: black outfits, slicked-back hair, statement jewellery, controlled, polished, put together. And the world of chaos: red, hot, messy, raw.

This is dedicated to every woman learning to let go of expectations and choose herself.

Finalist last Saturday at the GQ Ball waacking & House battle with my inspiring dance partner of the night @censei7 ⭐️

I couldn’t be more grateful. Sharing space with the house, waacking, and vogue community was a dream come true. Thank you @shireen.or.shea @rama_mahesh_hall @str8jacket_ and @oaklandtoall for making it happen ❤️ I had the best time and will cherish this memory.

Thank you @karlita_creates and @bloom_blap for the best music 🤌🏻

Last battle I did, @gbaridenzel was judging. His kind and supportive words really pushed me to go further. Making it to the finals at a battle for him was the greatest honor.

Let’s keep supporting GBari in his healing journey.
