“no matter what happens live, just live. that’s the best gift you can give me.” I keep replaying your words over & over in my heart. Looking back, I realise what a gift this moment was.

even now, they sound so much like you. always thinking of others, always encouraging, always wanting the people you loved to live fully & love deeply.

you were/are a woman of God, full of faith, love, laughter & the most beautiful spirit. you loved Uncle so fiercely, your tamariki, your mokopuna & your whānau with your whole heart, & we all felt that love.

our hearts are hurting knowing you’re no longer here, but I will forever be grateful for this moment, these memories & the wisdom you leave behind. no matter how much we miss you aunty, we’ll carry your words with us always.

we will live, aunty. that’s our promise to you 🤍

My lady soul 🖤

Hi my mum. Look at everyone coming together for you mum. What a beautiful lady you were/are to everyone that crossed your path. How blessed we were my mum to know of love, kindness, respect, resilience and compassion. You loved on anyone I put in front of you even though you didn’t have to, you offered shelter and peace even though you were hurting. Thank you for waiting for me yesterday, you held on so well my Mrs K.. I sang this song to you in hopes it would bring you back, instead it took you home. My Joy in the moment.
Like Celine Dion said mum “We don’t say goodbye”
I miss you whāea. Please hug my baby and enjoy tell my little love I loved having them even if it was for a little while, you didn’t get to go alone mama your moko wanted to come with you.

Till we meet again, love you Mum ✨ by @novalee__
