Hi lovelies 🤍 It’s been a little quiet around here, but for the very best reason.

We’re over the moon to share that we’re in the process of adopting a sweet baby girl, and Sutton is absolutely loving being a big sister. 🥹 That’s why I’ve been a little MIA lately.

Between the adoption journey and soaking up every moment with my girls, I took a small pause from this space—but I never stopped reading, just squeezing it in wherever I can. Books are still my comfort, my escape, and my joy. 📚✨

Happy Tuesday Lovelies!

Book: The Perfect Rom-Com

Between myself, my husband and now Sutton, we’ve had the flu running through our house. However, all my resting time has given me extra time for some fantastic romance reads. I was so excited to receive The Perfect Rom-Com from @uplit 🩷

Synopsis:

Aspiring author Bryony Page attends her first writers conference bursting with optimism and ready to sell her manuscript with long-shot dreams of raising awareness for The Bridge, her grandmother’s financially struggling organization where she teaches ESL full-time. But after a disastrous pitch session, she stumbles into correcting another author’s work in a last-ditch attempt to make a good impression with the agent. And she, as it turns out, is spot on.

No one is more surprised than Bryony when the agent offers her the opportunity to be a ghostwriter for Amelia Benedict, popular rom-com novelist. Bryony agrees on one condition: she’ll write books for this vain, demanding woman just as long as Jack Sterling, literary agent of the legendary Foundry Literary Agency, works to sell her own book too.

What nobody predicted, however, was that Bryony’s books would turn Amelia Benedict into the Amelia Benedict, household name and bestselling author with millions of copies sold around the world.

And just like that, the Foundry Agency can’t let her go.

But on a personal note, Jack is realizing he can’t either.

It really is a beautiful book, just swipe to see those stunning sprayed edges! So glad I pre-ordered this one. I started reading it already!

Best of 2024

I did not make my reading goal for 2024. However, I did read 84 wonderful books. In no specific order, these are some of my most memorable and favorite reads of 2024.

I absolutely loved the first 5 books in the Throne of Glass series. So thankful to @spillingtheteaonbooks for recommending TOG!

I got to read Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire with Sutton this year. It is one of my absolute favorite HP books. I love sharing my love of reading and Harry Potter with my sweet girl!

Happy New Year!

2024 was a year full of so many amazing memories. As with any year, there were some significant ups and downs. But I am thankful for my life, my family and this space to chat books with some truly incredible people!

December BOTM edition! Loving the picks this month. I got these two physical books and also got The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year on BOTM audio.

Tomorrow is officially December! Bring on all the holiday reads.

December means it’s Courtney Walsh season over here! I’m currently reading The Summer of Yes and loving it, no surprise. I absolutely love her books and cannot wait to start Christmas With a Crank this week!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…at least in my house. Hahaha.

I couldn’t wait any longer and Christmas brings me joy, so why not? I absolutely love decorating, it makes the house feel so cozy!
