Through the Novo Beacon bus mural, we explored how public art can transform everyday spaces, spark conversations, and reconnect communities with the stories that shape us.

The beautiful thing about storytelling through murals and public art is that you don’t have to force community engagement. When a story genuinely resonates with people, participation happens naturally. They see themselves in the work, connect with its meaning, and become part of the story without being asked. That’s when public art moves beyond decoration taken in Lagos, Nigeria by @novobeacon

This moment is more than just paint on a surface, it’s a spark. A chance for children to engage, express, and understand that their voices matter in shaping the spaces around them. Through public art, they don’t just observe the world, they actively take part in building it.

We take our creativity into public spaces not just for aesthetics, but to tell cultural histories, educate communities, and pass creative knowledge to young minds.

Kindly use the link in our bio to support and donate to our next community impact project.

During the early stage of the painting, we interviewed community members and passersby to gather their opinions and perspectives about the mural.
