Solo date chez Nina ( @ninamarylebone ). A notoriously hard reservation, but Abby Sadleir’s TikTok prophecy was correct: the London girlies are absolutely dining here, and for good reason. The menu is a playground, whether you’re a tini person, a fauxtail loyalist, or someone who “only came for one drink”… I, of course, committed to a carafe of wine.

I ordered like I had company: the burratina, the spaghetti with whatever magic they sprinkle into Nina’s tomato sauce, and the whole grilled seabass (yes, the whole). A few tables over someone ordered something with truffle and well - truffle see, truffle do. Then somehow still found space for the lemon meringue semifreddo: elite decision.

The room had that soft, golden hum only great restaurants manage: clinking cutlery, laughter that starts deep and spills out, and that shared “this is really good” energy that fills a space. Consider this your confirmation, Nina lives up to the hype: bright, unapologetic and utterly irresistible. ❤️

Stepped into Domestic Interventions (Part II): The Spirituality of Color, and honestly, it felt like wandering through a four–floor love letter to color inside a landmarked 1885 Harlem brownstone. A beautifully considered exhibition that turned an ordinary afternoon into a soft little journey of sound, light, and feeling.

Every room had its own pulse. Quiet soundscapes hummed in the background while color carried memory, ritual, and afterlight in ways I’m still unpacking. A cross–generational roster of artists showed how abstraction can heal, rupture, comfort, and surprise. Proof that color really can hold a lineage, a feeling, a breath.

Curated by Christiana Boyle (@ine_kimba ) this installment continues her Domestic Interventions series, following the Dallas debut of The Metroplex. The show wrapped last weekend, but it lived in partnership with ARTNOIR (

Last weekend I had the pleasure of taking a seat at the michelinman’s dinner party, an experience that was sensory mastery at its finest. The menu, curated by Maison Sun (@maisonsun.nyc ), unfolded like a crescendo of culture and taste, each dish echoing the mood of tracks on Blvck Svm’s (@blvcksvm ) album “michelinman”. Truly virtuosos of flavor, @dr._gasperi dr._gasperi and @young_bread1126 you deserve another round of applause. The project itself, with its rich lexicon layered over jazzy, subdued instrumentals, deploys the language of fine dining as narrative scaffolding, metaphor, and seasoning, sampling chefs and sly nods to food-centric cinema along the way (NB:“hyogo” (track 8) has been a favorite of mine since 2023, and it was a thrill to see it re-released).

As for the wine - to borrow from Blvck Svm’s immaculate lyricism - I was blessed the sommelier brought pairings such that it’s a wonder I didn’t bring a bottle back to my crib.

Finally, the vibe. It felt like a meeting of diverse minds, more akin to Kyoto teahouses and Tokyo jazz kissaten: intimate spaces where artistry, dialogue, and atmosphere flow together as seamlessly as the music and the meal.

Blvck Svm has taken the symbolic, aspirational, and multilayered dimensions of food and shaped them into what he calls a “tasting menu of an album”. The listening-party-meets-supper-club format is still winding its way stateside, but who knows where it will go next: Europe? Africa? Stay tuned.

Desmond Nii Kortey Botchway (@nii.is.king and also who I have personally dubbed both the ‘Marble Mastermind’ and a visual scribe of the West African masquerade tradition) transforms canvas into living archives. Through his signature marbling technique and a symphony of electric colors, Botchway reimagines West African masquerades not as mere performers, but as god-like giants and guardians of ancestral memory, spirituality, and resistance. His layered depictions of textiles and sumptuous fabrics pay homage to the opulence and coded language of masquerade regalia, while traditional symbols weave spiritual messages throughout each piece. With Ga-titled works that echo his roots, Botchway invites the world into the vibrant pulse of West African culture.

He is currently on exhibition @lafa_foundation till July 19 2025! If you’re in Ghana (Accra to be exact), I would definitely recommend!

Tea Baa (@teabaagh ) always brings me back to those golden afternoons—sipping “tipsy tea,” feasting on the best catfish known to mankind (then and now), and battling it out over Scrabble with my best friend. Tucked away in its cozy charm, it was our hideaway from the Accra heat—a tiny, glowing pocket of calm that felt like a second home.

And we weren’t the only ones. Somehow, everyone seemed to ask themselves the same question—“Where should I go?”—and the answer led them right to Tea Baa. It was a place where familiar faces always appeared, drawn by the same sense of warmth, community, and quiet magic.

Now, Tea Baa is back in brew-siness. Still homey. Still comforting. Still full of soul. But this time, it’s wrapped in a space that redefines “artsy.” A haven for good food, intimate moments, and that unmistakable feeling of belonging.
