Dysport for Support is officially back!

Last year, our Guelph community came together in a big way, raising $18,232 through “Beauty for Hope”, and this October, we’re doing it again.

For the entire month of October, 50% of our GFP proceeds from Dysport injections will be donated to support WRHN, in support of breast cancer care.

It’s a simple appointment with the opportunity to make a meaningful difference, and a beautiful reminder of what can happen when local clinics, practitioners and our community come together to support something bigger than ourselves.

If you’ve been thinking about booking an appointment, October is the month to do it.

Beauty for Hope is taking over Guelph + the Kitchener-Waterloo region once again this October.

Last year, our community came together in an incredible way, raising $18,232 through Beauty for Hope in support of the Waterloo Wellington Breast Centre at Waterloo Regional Health Network.

Together this October, we’re doing it again.

Breast cancer has touched the lives of so many people we love. That’s why all of these clinics are coming together throughout October, each offering a special promotion with a portion of proceeds going directly to this important cause.

The first day of fall is next week. 🍂

And no, we aren’t trying to rush away the last few official weeks of summer. But as the seasons change, it’s important to have a plan in place for your skin.

We’ve all been diligent with SPF all summer, but some sun exposure is still a natural part of the season. Now is a great time to focus on refreshing, brightening, and hydrating your skin.

At the clinic, treatments like Moxi and BBL can help support skin rejuvenation, improve texture, and encourage skin turnover. A single treatment is a great way to refresh your skin, while a series of three can be an excellent option for more noticeable correction.

This 29-year-old patient came to us with beautiful, healthy skin but with a simple goal to subtly enhance her lips.

I’m so glad you asked!

No two faces are the same, so no two treatment plans should be either.

One of the first questions I’ll ask a patient is: “How much movement do you want to keep?” Because in most cases, the goal isn’t to erase every expression.

I can always add more at a follow-up appointment, but we cannot remove it once it has been injected.

And just because your friend had “X” units doesn’t mean that’s what’s right for you.
Your facial anatomy, muscle strength, goals, and natural expressions are unique, which is why every treatment at GFP is personalized.

Think you’re doing everything right when it comes to SPF? ☀️  
You might be missing a few key steps.
Here are the most common sunscreen mistakes we see: 
1. Not reapplying every 2 hours
One application won’t protect you all day. Reapply every 2 hours AND after swimming, sweating, or towel drying.

2. Forgetting your neck and chest
These areas are exposed to the sun every day and are often the first to show signs of aging.

3. Leaving your scalp unprotected
A wide-brim hat is one of the easiest ways to protect your face, scalp, ears, and neck from harmful UV rays.

4. Relying on the SPF in your makeup
SPF in foundation or tinted moisturizer is a great bonus, but it’s not a replacement for a dedicated sunscreen underneath. 

Bonus: Don’t forget your lips and eyes!
