To every nurse carrying silent battles behind a steady smile…Happy Nurses Week. 💞
Nurses to me includes RNs, LPNs, CNAs, nursing students, nurse practitioners…don’t allow society to divide us when we show up with the same heart…to take care of strangers giving it our all…even while our lives are falling apart.

Looking at these two versions of me reminds me of something powerful:
the journey will humble you before it elevates you.

There were seasons I was exhausted, overlooked, grieving, anxious, uncertain, and still showing up to care for other people anyway. There were moments I questioned myself, my path, and whether all the pressure was worth it. But I kept going. Quietly. Consistently. Prayerfully.

One thing The Four Agreements and The Mastery of Self taught me is this:
your greatest battle is not against other people…it is against the agreements you make within yourself.

The moment you stop agreeing with fear, shame, self-doubt, and limitation…your life changes.

Be impeccable with your word.
Do not take everything personally.
Do not make assumptions.
Always do your best…..especially on the days your best looks different.

That is mastery.
Not perfection.
Not pretending to be strong.
But choosing to rise in spite of….

To every nurse still fighting for their dream while healing parts of themselves in private…do not give up. One day you will look back at the version of you that almost quit and thank God you kept going. 💞✨ by @np.lsjwellness

It’s my birthday for the rest of September 💞🤩🎉
Thank you for all the love and for taking a moment to make me feel special, cry happy tears and laugh all in one day. I’m grateful for every call, every text, every post and every well wish. The 46th verse of my favorite song has begun...while the lyrics unfold and the melodies get even sweeter...l’m excited because I can already tell God is up to something incredible. Long grief ….9/11/15….I made it through most of the day without crying…then boom 💥 It’s been 11 years since my brother Tehron, was murdered. It still hurts. I’m still working through the self-imposed and realistic guilt of letting him convince me, to not come to New York when he called me having panic attack. When he finally figured out how to get a handle on life…it was over. There was still so much to do…

I went into a deep depression, but hid it behind “hard-work” and no one knew for an entire year. I was angry with God. I worked through that and I changed the way I live my life as a result. I LIVE my life unapologetically. I take the adventures and although I’ve been writing this book 📕 since 2016…this is the year it’s finished. ☑️

My brother loved me profoundly since he was a baby and I loved him the same. That’s what helps me. He always looked at me with admiration and pure love….
Every time I think I can’t do something…I hear his voice say “nah son…my sister can do anything she want to.” And think of his gummy smiles and contagious laughter. 💞✨

Today I don’t wish to have any answers…just sitting with the joy and grief at the same time…I miss him immensely. #foreverTehTeh #griefjourney #siblings #healing #faith #hope #prayer by @np.lsjwellness

Tell the truth.
Tell all of it.

Tell it when it hurts.
Tell it while your voice is shaking.
Tell it when you’re scared of what the truth might cost you.

Tell it when you’re overwhelmed.
Tell it when you’re ashamed.
Tell it when you’re the one to blame.
Tell it when you’re the one who was violated.

Tell it when you were wrong.
Tell it after the lie, when your conscience finally becomes louder than your pride.
Tell it when the truth doesn’t make you look good…
but makes you honest.

Tell the truth about what they did to you.

And tell the truth about what you did because you were hurting.

Tell the truth about what you tolerated.
What you ignored.
What you participated in.
What you survived.
What you became just to survive it.

Tell the truth about the places where you abandoned yourself
just to keep someone else from leaving.

Tell it because you cannot heal what you keep hiding.

Tell it because purpose requires alignment,
and you cannot walk fully into who you were called to become
while dragging the weight of everything you refuse to name.

Tell it because some chains are not broken by strength.

They are broken by truth.

And before you tell the world…
tell yourself.

Without excuses.
Without editing.
Without making yourself the villain in every story
or the victim in every one.

Just the truth.

Own your truth…so it doesn’t own you.

FROM THE BEDSIDE TO THE BOARDROOM. 🩺💞✨

Well… look what God did. Again 💞✨
I’m officially on the ballot for the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association (PSNA) 2026 Board of Directors!

For more than 16 years, nursing has given me a front-row seat to the brilliance, sacrifice, resilience and sometimes the frustration of being a nurse.

I’ve served at the bedside.
I’ve led nursing teams.
I’ve cared for patients in behavioral health, critical care, geriatrics, trauma, and beyond.
And now, as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I’m ready to bring that experience to another table.

Because nurses should never just have a seat at the table. We should have a voice strong enough to help shape what happens at it.

I believe in a nursing profession where nurses are heard, supported, protected, developed, and empowered to lead.

So yes… I’m asking for your vote.

But I’m also asking for something bigger:

Help me build a movement of nurses supporting nurses.
