Just putting it out there that your story doesn’t define you, but rather you define it. 👊🏾

When my wedding didn’t come to fruition, I shot my comedy special on that day instead, hoping to bring some levity to a painful day and situation… and put a positive spin on life not turning out as planned. Shortly after the breakup, the pandemic hit and I decided to turn this idea of a “wedding registry for breakups” into a company. And just like when I started a career in entertainment, I had no family money or connections in the space 😅 but if you’re gritty and determined with building an empire you can make it f*cking happen. You’ll find the right people, and most importantly, they’ll find you.

Also I might add, comedians make some of the BEST entrepreneurs because we know the grind is real and we will do anything to be better every day. 😉 We are curious, the ultimate mental athletes, and we can handle the shittiest of shit conditions 😂 I mean if I can do Standup in the back room of a strip club in 2010 and get paid in a bucket of chicken wings, annnything else is a win.

I’m thankful I got to showcase my company on Season 4 of @betablox series with @westonbergmann and his team, meet so many brilliant and talented entrepreneurs, and excited for all to come as I continue to build @mybreakupregistry into something that really digs people out of a financial and emotional hole and helps them feel ultimately supported.

It’s the one year anniversary of my TEDx talk “Why laughter heals broken hearts” *LINK IN BIO FOR FULL TALK ON YOUTUBE*

Today I was able to attend as an alum and bring my mom. These talks always inspire so much thought and introspection and joy, and I couldn’t recommend @tedxchicago and its community more.

I wrote this talk just after losing my best friend, and it so happened to debut globally as a TEDx Official editors pick selection on December 23, 2025 - 1 year TO THE DAY of my best friends passing. And not 3 months after its debut, I lost my dad.

There’s a reason comedy is built from tragedy. Without laughing, the pain can get to be too much. We all need the release and the connection it brings.

Huge thank you yo the speakers tonight, and the TEDx team as always. ❤️

BIG NEWS ✨ I’m filming my next hour in LOS ANGELES Jan 30th - LINK IN BIO to get on the list for ticket release drop.

This hour is so personal and important to me — I had intended to film after taking some of this material to Edinburgh Fringe in 2024, but I lost my best pal months after the fest, spoke at TEDx last year in the wake of that loss, and lost my dad 2 months after that talk came out… crafting this has been part of my healing journey, and laughing through hard shit is what we all need. I can’t wait to share this with you 🫶🏽 xxNPH
