Orange Janolus (Janolus sp.)

Despite how vibrantly orange this Janolus species is, at just 4cm long it is really hard to spot! 👀

UGLY ROCK~
Nudibranchs often sit on muddy or dirty rocks. By shooting wide open with a larger aperture, I was able to separate the subject from the background and create a soft, clean bokeh.

A tiny creature with an extraordinary anatomy. 🔎

This aeolid nudibranch carries rows of delicate cerata along its back. These structures increase the surface area for gas exchange and also contain branches of the digestive gland — combining several functions in one elegant design.
